MaterialePlasticMaterialePlasticThe genius of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is revealed in its most radical form: Cyborg Donatello, taken directly from the pages of the iconic Miracle Comics series. This NECA figure captures the essence of the character’s cybernetic transformation, offering collectors a piece that celebrates the fusion of technology and martial arts in a design faithful to the original aesthetic. A must‑have for anyone looking to complete their collection with an authentic tribute to the franchise’s most cult lore.
The Scene
The figure captures the visual essence of one of the saga’s most iconic transformations: Donatello in his cyborg version, exactly as it appeared in the pages of the Mirage Studios comic series of 1984. The focus lies on the dramatic asymmetry of the design, with the cybernetic half and armor defining this specific moment of the character, offering collectors a faithful snapshot of the original comic aesthetic.
The Character
At the heart of Mirage Studios’ original continuity, Donatello transcends the role of a mere tech expert to become a symbol of the fraternity’s extreme resilience. In a narrative universe marked by mature sci‑fi threats and challenges that test the protagonists’ physical and mental limits, his cyborg transformation represents one of the saga’s darkest and most significant moments. This variation is not merely a cosmetic change but a testament to the weight of battles fought in an alternate timeline, where survival demands radical sacrifices. For the collector, this character embodies the essence of the darkest roots of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, offering a deep perspective on how Donatello’s analytical mind interacts with the brutality of the world around him, making it essential to understand his character’s evolution beyond the most familiar canons.
