Scene
The figure captures the iconic look of Dr. Henry Jones Sr. as seen in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). The brown coat, fedora, and glasses faithfully reproduce the character's look during his adventures in this particular film, offering a precise representation of his classic style.
The character
In the narrative of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Dr. Henry Jones Sr. is not just a simple sidekick but the emotional and intellectual engine of the entire saga. His story arc revolves around an academic obsession that transcends mere interest in medieval literature: the quest for the Holy Grail. This absolute devotion creates a father‑son dynamic filled with emotional tension and the classic banter that defines their relationship, making every shared moment a perfect balance of extreme risk and comic lightness. Portrayed by Sir Sean Connery, the character embodies the archetype of the brilliant scholar whose life is shaped by a single, grand ambition. His role is essential not only for resolving the main conflict but for the human complexity it adds to the franchise, turning an archaeological adventure into a journey of redemption and family bonds. For the collector, this figure represents the essential completion of any display dedicated to the Last Crusade, allowing the recreation of the visual and narrative dynamics that made this chapter one of the most beloved of the original trilogy.
Why collect it
For a collector, this figure is much more than a simple accessory: it is a crucial piece to complete the Jones family story at 1:12 scale. Including the father in the Retro Collection elevates the narrative value of the line, allowing the recreation of interpersonal dynamics that were previously impossible with earlier figures. Positioned next to other Hasbro icons, Dr. Henry Jones Sr. is not just an exhibit item but an emotional bridge that turns the display into a visual narrative, confirming its importance as a collectible piece destined to withstand the test of time thanks to its authentic cinematic iconicity.
