Cronologia
Biografia

Jar Jar Binks is a Gungan native to the Mid Rim planet Naboo, hailing from the underwater city of Otoh Gunga. Initially an outcast exiled for his extreme clumsiness, Jar Jar's life changed dramatically in 32 BBY when he encountered Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in the Lianorm Swamp during the Trade Federation invasion. Adhering to a Gungan life debt, Jar Jar guided the Jedi to Otoh Gunga and through the planet's core to Theed.
His involvement proved essential in forming an alliance between the Gungans and the Naboo, culminating in his appointment as Bombad General during the Battle of Grassy Plains and his subsequent service as Naboo's Junior Representative. In the Galactic Senate, Jar Jar served alongside Senator Padmé Amidala.
In her absence during a critical political crisis, Binks was manipulated into introducing the motion to grant Supreme Chancellor Palpatine emergency powers. This pivotal act unintentionally enabled the creation of the Grand Army of the Republic and facilitated Palpatine's rise to Emperor. Following the fall of the Republic, Jar Jar returned to Naboo, where he spent his later years living as an outcast street clown in the capital city of Theed, performing tricks for refugee children while remaining shunned by adults who blamed him for the Empire's ascendancy.
Storia

Born around 52 BBY in Otoh Gunga, Jar Jar Binks was the son of George R. Binks and his wife. Raised in family traditions meant to turn him into a skilled Gungan whaler like his ancestors, Jar Jar proved too clumsy for the profession.
During a whale hunting expedition in Naboo's southern seas, his failure to hold the wheel steady caused their ship to crash into a whale and sink, leaving his family stranded on a desert island.
Unable to succeed in school or maintain steady employment in Otoh Gunga, Jar Jar drifted between short-lived jobs—working briefly as a street musician and serving as a distraction for Roos Tarpals' band of young thieves. Boss Rugor Nass later placed him at the Otoh Gunga Zoological Research Facility, but Jar Jar accidentally freed several creatures, resulting in a labor sentence at the Quarry penal colony. Although he later saved Boss Nass and others during an underwater crisis, a disastrous kitchen explosion involving a gasser oven flooded Boss Nass's mansion and luxury heyblibber. The Gungan High Council invoked the Nocombackie Law, formally banishing Jar Jar to the swamps of Naboo under pain of death.

Evoluzione
Jar Jar Binks undergoes a dramatic character trajectory throughout Star Wars lore. Starting as an inept outcast in The Phantom Menace whose clumsiness frequently caused disaster, his unexpected heroics in swamp skirmishes and underwater rescues lead to his promotion as a Gungan Bombad General, bridging the historical divide between the Gungans and Naboo humans. During the Clone Wars era, Jar Jar evolves into a political figure as Naboo's Junior Representative.
While he demonstrates genuine heroics on diplomatic missions—sometimes being mistaken for a Jedi Knight or working alongside Jedi Master Mace Windu—his political naivety leaves him susceptible to manipulation by Chancellor Palpatine. Moving the motion for emergency powers becomes his most consequential political decision, inadvertently enabling the birth of the Galactic Empire. In post-Republic storytelling, Jar Jar's narrative ends on a poignant note. Depicted in Aftermath: Empire's End as an outcast street clown in Theed, he is shunned by adults for his political blunder but beloved by refugee children. Subsequent expanded canon, including a 2026 comic issue co-written by Ahmed Best, adds redemption to his arc by revealing his immediate post-Episode III efforts to assist anti-Imperial resistance.

His figure representations span multiple eras of his storyline, including skin variants as a Gungan exile, Bombad General, and Naboo Senator, as seen in releases like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
One of the most notable collector milestones occurred in 2024 with the Disney+ animated miniseries LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, where voice actor Ahmed Best officially voiced 'Darth Jar Jar'—bringing a long-standing fan theory into official LEGO media representation. Furthermore, digital character releases such as his May 2024 debut in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes as a Legendary Support unit and his 2025 introduction as a playable double-blade wielder in Jedi Power Battles Remaster continue to keep Jar Jar prominent in modern Star Wars releases.

In canon lore set after the fall of the Empire, Jar Jar resides in Theed as a street clown who is shunned by adults but entertains refugee children.
