The origins of Visione are rooted in the malevolent intent of the robot Ultron. In the comic tradition, Ultron forced Professor Phineas T.
Horton to repurpose the remains of the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond) into a new vessel, imprinting it with the brain patterns of Simon Williams (Wonder Man).
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his birth was a high-stakes collaboration: his body was crafted from Vibranium by Ultron, but his mind was a synthesis of Tony Stark’s J.A.R.V.I.S. software and the power of the Mind Stone, ultimately sparked to life by the lightning of Thor. In both versions, he immediately rebelled against his creator, choosing to join the Avengers and fight for the very species he was designed to eradicate.
