TAVA REN
Tava Ren is a formidable Force-sensitive assassin and a pivotal leader of the Knights of Ren during the Sequel Era. Originally an Order 66 survivor, she transitioned from the galactic underworld to challenging Kylo Ren for control over his own dark side warriors.
Cronologia
Biografia
Tava Ren rose to prominence between 28 ABY and 34 ABY, initially operating as a lethal enforcer and assassin for the underworld boss Bedat. Having clandestinely studied the dark side of the Force, she recognized the inherent potential—and the broken spirit—of the Knights of Ren when they were captured by her employer.
In a bold power play, she betrayed Bedat, liberated the Knights, and claimed leadership over the group, seeking to restore their former 'wild' glory. Her tenure as leader reached a turning point in 34 ABY during a disastrous raid on the world of Vandor.
After being abandoned by her own Knights during a skirmish with warrior monks, she tracked down Supreme Leader Kylo Ren to the Finalizer. Following a brief but intense duel, she revealed her true identity and attempted to manipulate Kylo back into the fold of the Knights, even sharing a brief romantic moment. Though she escaped his wrath, her defiance marked her as a high-value target for the First Order.
Storia
Long before she adopted the mantle of 'Ren,' Tava was a child of the Jedi Order.
She was a survivor of the Great Jedi Purge (Order 66) around 19 BBY, having escaped the massacre as a young Padawan.
The trauma of the purge and the loss of her master forced her into the shadows of the galaxy's criminal underworld. Over the decades, she traded her Jedi teachings for the pragmatic ruthlessness of a mercenary, eventually honing her dark side abilities in secret until she felt powerful enough to seize control of the Knights of Ren.
Evoluzione
Tava Ren's journey is one of the most unique in the Star Wars canon, tracing a path from Jedi Padawan to criminal enforcer and finally to a dark side cult leader.
Initially introduced as a mysterious antagonist who appeared to be a standard rival to Kylo Ren, her character evolved significantly as her backstory as an Order 66 survivor was revealed. This transformation from a victim of the Empire to a master of the Ren highlights the complex 'gray' area she occupies—neither a traditional Sith nor a fallen Jedi, but a survivor who uses the dark side as a tool for independence.
Da Collezione
For collectors, Tava Ren is the breakout star of the 'Legacy of Vader' era. While she began as a comic-exclusive character, her striking visual design—complete with red hair and the distinctive 'Mark of the Ren' tattoo—quickly made her a fan favorite.
The most anticipated release is the Hasbro Star Wars: The Black Series 6-inch figure, announced for late 2026. This 'Grail' contender is set to feature premium articulation and interchangeable heads (helmeted and unmasked). Completists also hunt for the 'Legacy of Vader #8' 1:25 variant covers, which have seen a steady rise in value as her lore expands.
Tava believes herself powerful enough to kill every other member of the Knights of Ren simultaneously.
