Ignacio "Fade" Huamaní is an Assault Legend originally introduced during the global launch of Apex Legends Mobile. At 26 years old, the Solace-born combatant is defined by his high-speed skirmishing capabilities and his signature phase technology.
Known as the "Phasing Punisher," he operates as a vengeful soul within the Games, using his platform to attract the attention of the shadowy figures from his past. Voiced by Josh Keaton, Fade brings a specialized movement-heavy playstyle to the roster.
His identity is tied to his prototype IMC tactical suit, which allows him to slip through dimensions. Unlike other Legends who compete for glory or sport, Fade’s participation is a calculated trap, designed to lure out the murderous client who ambushed his family during a botched weapons heist.
Storia
Ignacio was born into a lineage of elite military-tech hunters. Working alongside his ex-mercenary father and brothers, he spent his youth scavenging advanced weaponry for the highest bidders in the Outlands.
As the youngest sibling, he was often relegated to the role of lookout, a position that fueled his desire to prove his worth. This ambition led him to accept a secret contract to recover a lost IMC prototype tech suit from a crashed cargo vessel. The mission proved to be a lethal setup.
Ignacio led his family into a mercenary ambush orchestrated by the client. In a desperate bid for survival, Ignacio activated the experimental suit, which unintentionally thrust him into the Void. He spent years lost in this alternate dimension, mastering the suit's phasing powers to find his way back. Upon his return to the home dimension, he found only the remains of his family. He now utilizes the very suit that saved him to seek retribution against those who betrayed his bloodline.

Fade represents a unique chapter in Apex Legends history as the franchise's first platform-exclusive character. Launched in May 2022 to spearhead Apex Legends Mobile, he was designed specifically for high-intensity mobile movement.
However, following the shutdown of the mobile platform in May 2023, the character entered a state of 'archived' canon—he remains a part of the lore but became unplayable for several years. Recent developments in 2026 suggest a significant evolution for the character, with industry leaks pointing toward a reworked version of Fade being integrated into the main PC and console roster to support a rumored cross-play relaunch of the mobile experience.
