Biografia

Prince Crystar is the former human prince of Galax on the planet Crystalium and the chosen champion of Order. Created by Marvel Comics, he leads the Crystal Warriors against the chaotic forces of his twin brother, Moltar.
Driven by honor and duty, Crystar chose to sacrifice his human form to defend his realm, becoming a living figure of translucent blue crystal.
Throughout his heroic journey, Crystar has commanded loyal soldiers like Warbow and fought alongside legendary Earth-616 heroes. Even after the collapse of the Multiverse and the merging of his homeworld into Weirdworld, Crystar continues to stand as a fearless leader and resilient defender of peace.
Storia

Crystar's origin begins on the realm of Crystalium, where he was born as a human prince alongside his twin brother Moltar. Following their father's tragic death during a war against invading Chaos forces, the powerful wizard Ogeode repelled the invaders, allowing the brothers to rule jointly in peace.
However, when Ogeode and the Chaos wizard Zardeth returned to seek allegiance for an impending conflict, a bitter dispute erupted between the siblings. The argument escalated into violence, and Moltar mortally wounded Crystar. To save his life, the loyal serving girl Ambara brought Crystar to Ogeode.
Unable to heal Crystar's physical body, Ogeode instructed him to step inside his Prisma-Crystal. Crystar emerged completely transformed into a durable living crystal warrior. His loyal troops followed suit, creating the Crystal Warriors to battle Moltar, who had aligned with Zardeth and transformed his own followers into Magma Men.
I PEZZI DI CRYSTAR
Evoluzione
Crystar represents a unique milestone in comic publishing history. Conceptualized in 1982 by Marvel creators including Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Macchio, John Romita Jr., and Mary Jo Duffy, he was designed specifically to be licensed to toy manufacturer Remco. Unlike external licensed intellectual properties such as ROM or The Micronauts, Marvel retained full ownership of Crystar.
During his original 11-issue run, his narrative crossed over with Earth-616 heroes including Doctor Strange, Alpha Flight, and Nightcrawler. After decades as a nostalgic favorite referenced in official handbooks, Crystar was reintroduced during 2015's Secret Wars event in Jason Aaron's Weirdworld. Initially shown as a shattered bag of crystals, he was reassembled to command the Swamp Queen Alliance. With Weirdworld integrated into Earth-616's Bermuda Triangle, Crystar has evolved from an 1980s toy-line protagonist into a beloved cult character in modern Marvel continuity.
Da Collezione
For vintage toy enthusiasts, Crystar is a standout 1980s treasure. Produced by Remco between 1982 and 1983, the original 3¾-inch action figure line featured translucent plastic figures for Order and red lava plastic figures for Chaos. Highlights of the vintage line include Prince Crystar, Prince Moltar, Warbow, Feldspar, and rare playsets such as the Crystal Castle, Shatterpult, and Crystal Dragon.
Because Marvel owns the property outright, Hasbro revived the character for modern collectors at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, releasing a 6-inch Marvel Legends Crystar figure in early 2024 as part of The Void Build-A-Figure Wave. Hasbro expanded the line further at New York Comic Con 2024 by announcing a 6-inch Marvel Legends Warbow figure released in late 2025. Along with the 2018 WizKids HeroClix release, Crystar remains a highly collectible figure bridging retro history and modern toy lines.

Unlike ROM: Spaceknight or Micronauts, Crystar was completely created and owned by Marvel specifically to license to toy company Remco.
