Biografia

Venom is a complex, sentient alien organism from the Klyntar species that requires a host to achieve a physical form on Earth. While the symbiote has bonded with numerous individuals, its most definitive partnership is with the investigative journalist Eddie Brock.

Together, they operate as a singular entity, referring to themselves in the plural as "We," and have transitioned from vengeful villains into unconventional anti-heroes. In the current era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony's Spider-Man Universe, Venom has become a multiversal traveler, even leaving a fragment of himself behind in the MCU's primary timeline.

Following the defeat of the symbiote god Knull, Venom's role expanded into the cosmic hierarchy, with Eddie Brock ascending to the status of "King in Black." On Earth, the mantle of Venom has continued to evolve, recently being taken up by Eddie’s son, Dylan Brock, and even Mary Jane Watson. Whether acting as a street-level vigilante in San Francisco or a cosmic protector, Venom remains defined by a brutal moral code and a constant struggle between the host's humanity and the symbiote's predatory instincts.

LO SAPEVI?The original concept for the black suit was a fan idea bought by Marvel for just $220.

Storia

The origins of Venom trace back to the Klyntar species, created by the ancient deity Knull. The symbiote first arrived on Earth after being discovered by Peter Parker on the alien planet Battleworld during the Secret Wars.

Parker initially believed it was a highly advanced technological suit that responded to his thoughts, but he eventually realized the "costume" was a living parasite attempting to bond with him permanently.

After Spider-Man used high-frequency sound waves from a church bell to forcibly reject the entity, the weakened symbiote found Eddie Brock—a reporter whose life had been ruined by the wall-crawler's actions. Their shared hatred for Spider-Man served as the catalyst for their initial bonding, birthing the creature known as Venom.

LO SAPEVI?Venom refers to himself as 'We' because the symbiote and the host are two distinct consciousnesses working as one.

Evoluzione

Venom has undergone one of the most drastic transformations in comic history. He began as a simple black suit for Spider-Man, intended merely to be a visual change. Following his rejection, he became a standard 'villain of the month' driven by Eddie Brock's personal vendetta.

However, the 1990s saw his transition into the 'Lethal Protector,' a hero who protects the 'innocent' while remaining brutally violent toward criminals. The character was further reinvented in 2011 as a military black-ops hero (Agent Venom) and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Most recently, the 'King in Black' saga elevated Venom from a local threat to a cosmic deity, fundamentally changing his place in the Marvel hierarchy from a parasite to a god.
