PICCOLO
Piccolo is a Namekian warrior who transitioned from a demonic reincarnation seeking world domination to Earth's most brilliant tactical guardian. As the mentor to Gohan and a core member of the Z-Fighters, he remains a stoic pillar of strength whose evolution recently culminated in the god-like Orange Piccolo form.
Cronologia
Biografia
Piccolo is a tall, muscular Namekian and the final reincarnation/son of the Demon King Piccolo. Initially introduced as a cold-blooded antagonist, his personality is characterized by a stern, grumpy demeanor and a preference for solitude and meditation.
Despite his gruff exterior, he is a brilliant strategist, often recognized as one of the most analytical fighters in the galaxy, a trait acknowledged by enemies such as Baby. Over time, his alliance with the Z-Fighters evolved from pragmatic necessity into deep-rooted loyalty, particularly through his bond with Gohan.
While he maintains an indifferent attitude toward most, Piccolo serves as the primary tactical mind for Universe 7's defenses. He is frequently seen training in quiet locations, often wearing weighted clothing to maintain his edge. His role in the group has shifted from the 'Demon King' seeking to destroy Goku to a protective uncle figure for Gohan and Pan, eventually becoming Earth's primary defender during the Super Hero crisis.
Storia
Piccolo’s origins are tied to the 'Nameless Namekian' who arrived on Earth as a child to escape a cataclysm on Planet Namek.
To become Earth's Guardian (Kami), this being expelled his inner evil, which manifested as the original Demon King Piccolo. After the elder Piccolo was defeated by a young Goku in Age 753, he spat out an egg containing his essence.
This reincarnation, Piccolo Jr., grew rapidly with the sole intent of avenging his father. After being narrowly defeated by Goku at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, he spent years in isolation before the arrival of the Saiyans forced him into an unlikely alliance with his sworn enemy, forever changing the course of his destiny.

Evoluzione
Piccolo's character arc is one of the most drastic in Shonen history. He began as a 'Demon Clan' member inherited from his father's hatred, but his transformation was sparked by Gohan, the first person to see him as a mentor rather than a monster.
This emotional evolution was mirrored by physical milestones: first by merging with Nail to embrace his Namekian heritage, then by reuniting with Kami to become whole. Most recently, Piccolo has moved beyond his role as a secondary supporter, achieving the Orange Piccolo form in Age 783. This state allows him to balance his legendary tactical intellect with physical power that rivals the upper tiers of the Saiyan race, solidifying his place as a primary defender of Earth.
Da Collezione
For collectors, Piccolo is a staple, with Bandai’s S.H.Figuarts line being the absolute gold standard for articulated figures. The 'Orange Piccolo' release from the Super Hero film is currently the most sought-after modern piece due to its unique bulk and presence.
Statues from Prime 1 Studio and Banpresto's Masterlise line (particularly the 'Ichiban Kuji' releases) are highly prized for capturing his stoic meditation poses. Collectors often look for figures that include the weighted cape and turban, and vintage King Piccolo items from the early 90s remain 'grails' for those seeking to complete the character's full history. Recent trends show a surge in value for any figures depicting his Super Namekian state from the Cell Saga.
The number 94 on his Red Ribbon disguise is a Japanese pun on how Pan pronounces his name.
