Obi-Wan Kenobi, later known as Ben Kenobi, is one of the most pivotal figures in galactic history. Originally a high-ranking Jedi Master and a member of the Jedi High Council, he served with distinction as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Known as 'The Negotiator' for his diplomatic skills, Kenobi was equally formidable on the battlefield, leading the 212th Attack Battalion alongside Commander Cody.
His life is inextricably linked to the Skywalker family; he was the mentor and 'brother' to Anakin Skywalker, and later the first teacher of Luke Skywalker. After the fall of the Republic and the Great Jedi Purge, Kenobi entered a self-imposed exile on the desert planet of Tatooine.
During his time in the Jundland Wastes, he adopted the persona of a 'strange hermit' to remain hidden from the Empire while fulfilling his ultimate mission: protecting the infant Luke Skywalker.
