Cronologia
Biografia
Victor von Doom is the brilliant and iron-willed monarch of Latveria.
A master of both advanced technology and the mystic arts, he is defined by his intense rivalry with Reed Richards and his unwavering belief that only he possesses the intellect and strength to lead humanity.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doom is a multiversal figure originating from Earth-828, set to challenge the Avengers on a cosmic scale. A unique variant of the character also exists in the Earth-9602 timeline, where he served as Project Cadmus' Chief Scientist. This version of Victor was transformed into the monstrous Doctor Doomsday after an experiment with alien DNA went catastrophically wrong, leading him to serve the cosmic entity Thanoseid.
Storia
Doctor Doom's origins are rooted in a tragic combination of scientific ambition and personal loss. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Victor's history involves a long-standing grudge against Reed Richards, which began during their university years.
His quest for power led him to conquer his homeland of Latveria and don a suit of iron armor and a mask to hide his scarred face. In the Earth-9602 reality, his backstory diverged when he monitored cosmic-ray shielding for the Challengers of the Fantastic.
Jealous of his peers, Victor deactivated the shielding and fled, causing a shuttle crash. Later, while examining the DNA of the fallen creature Doomsday, a bone fragment explosion fused the alien's genetic code with his own, turning the handsome genius into a grotesque powerhouse.
Evoluzione
Doctor Doom has undergone numerous radical transformations over the decades. He began as a classic megalomaniacal villain before reaching godhood in the original 1984 Secret Wars. In 2015, he achieved his most significant power leap as God Emperor Doom, creating and ruling Battleworld.
Following this, he briefly attempted redemption as the Infamous Iron Man. Most recently, in the 'One World Under Doom' event, he became the Sorcerer Supreme and successfully conquered Earth. His cinematic evolution mirrors this complexity, moving from billionaire industrialist and 'Doom-bot' depictions to the multiversal threat of Earth-828 in the MCU.

For film collectors, bootleg copies of the unreleased 1994 Joseph Culp film have become legendary rarities in the secondary market. The upcoming MCU 'Avengers: Doomsday' releases are expected to drive a massive surge in high-tier merchandise for Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal.
Robert Downey Jr.'s Doom in the MCU is confirmed to use a distinct voice and mask separate from his Iron Man persona.
