Biografie
Gogeta is the fused entity birthed when Son Goku and Vegeta successfully execute the Metamoran Fusion Dance. Combining Goku's tall physique with Vegeta's stern facial features, tan skin, and widow's peak, Gogeta wears the traditional Metamoran vest and baggy white pants. His dual voice combines the speech of both Saiyan heroes, speaking with singular authority and immense confidence.
Throughout the franchise, Gogeta acts as the ultimate battle resolution whenever Goku and Vegeta face enemies far beyond their individual power.
From defeating the underworld monster Super Janemba in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn to turning the tide against Omega Shenron in Dragon Ball GT and subduing the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Gogeta's presence signals an unprecedented surge in strength. Personality-wise, Gogeta is a unique blend of both fusees. He retains Goku's benevolence, respect for life, and joy in combat, while inheriting Vegeta's mocking pride, strategic intelligence, and ruthless battle efficiency. Whether playing playful pranks or executing swift, decisive attacks, Gogeta operates with high confidence and unrivaled tactical dominance.

Gogeta was originally created in 1995 by character designer Tadayoshi Yamamuro for the animated feature film Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. In the movie, an underworld accident transforms a teenage worker into the chaotic demon Janemba.
Outmatched by Super Janemba, Goku and Vegeta attempt the Fusion Dance. After an initial botched attempt creates the comical, overweight fusion Veku, the duo succeeds on their third try, giving birth to Super Saiyan Gogeta.
In 1997, designer Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru re-imagined the character for Dragon Ball GT's Shadow Dragon Saga, creating Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta to battle Omega Shenron. Decades later, series creator Akira Toriyama officially integrated Gogeta into canon continuity by writing him into the 2018 feature film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, establishing his official place in the core Dragon Ball storyline.

Evolutie
Gogeta's character trajectory is one of the most remarkable in Dragon Ball history. Originating as a non-canon movie character in 1995's Fusion Reborn, Gogeta was initially portrayed as a cold, silent, and stoic warrior who ended fights immediately. In 1997's Dragon Ball GT, his personality evolved into that of a playful, arrogant prankster in Super Saiyan 4, using taunts to goad Omega Shenron into purifying Earth's atmosphere.
Visual details also evolved across iterations. While his Metamoran vest retained orange padding and blue wraps in Fusion Reborn and GT, his 2018 canonical appearance in Dragon Ball Super: Broly updated his vest padding to yellow and his sash/wraps to teal, aligning with standard Metamoran attire. Today, Gogeta combines the best elements of all previous iterations—cool confidence, relentless combat tactics, and deep respect for his opponents.
Collectibles
As one of the highest-earning and most requested characters in Dragon Ball franchise history, Gogeta holds premier status across collectibles and video game media.
From featured V-Jump print covers to top-tier digital collectible releases in Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle and Dragon Ball Legends, Gogeta units consistently serve as flagship releases that drive major franchise events.

In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Gogeta spent time actively testing out different names before settling on 'Gogeta' prior to joining the battle.
