Cronologia
Biography

Doomsday is the personification of unstoppable hatred and physical might. He is best known as the monster that brought the Man of Steel to his grave in front of the Daily Planet building in Metropolis.
Unlike many other DC villains who seek power or world domination, Doomsday is driven by a primal, genetic impulse to destroy all life, specifically targeting Kryptonians due to the trauma of his creation.
His role in the DC Universe is that of the ultimate tier-breaker; he is the force that forces heroes to sacrifice everything. From dismantling the entire Justice League with one hand literally tied behind his back to ruling over the depths of Hell in the 'Dawn of DC' era, Doomsday remains the benchmark for pure, unadulterated power in the multiverse.
History

Doomsday was created hundreds of thousands of years ago on prehistoric Krypton by a cruel alien scientist named Bertron. Seeking to engineer the 'Ultimate Lifeform,' Bertron subjected a genetically engineered infant to the planet's lethal environment and predators.
Each time the creature was killed, Bertron would harvest the remains and clone a new version, accelerated through the process of forced evolution.
This cycle of death and rebirth occurred thousands of times, encoding the memory of every agonizing death into the creature's genes. This gave birth to a being that could adapt to any threat and fostered a deep-seated hatred for all living things. Eventually, the monster evolved to a point where he no longer needed Bertron's technology to regenerate, at which point he slaughtered his creator and escaped Krypton.
Evolution
Doomsday has evolved from a mindless force of nature into a complex, sentient threat. In his early appearances, he was a mute engine of destruction. However, during the 'Joker's Last Laugh' arc, he developed sentience and intelligence, which Superman used against him by teaching him the concept of fear.
His evolution continued through the 'Reign of Doomsday,' where he adapted the powers of those he fought, such as flight and metallic skin. Most recently, in 2026, he was revealed to be the true identity of the Time Trapper and a 'failed savior' of Krypton, adding a tragic layer to his history as a character who has existed since the beginning of time to ensure its end.
Collecting
For collectors, Doomsday is the 'Final Boss' of any display. Iconic figures include the DC Direct 'Death of Superman' collector set and the massive, oversized figures from DC Collectibles that capture his jagged bone protrusions.
McFarlane Toys has produced several sought-after versions under the DC Multiverse line, including the 'Gold Label' variants and the 'Superman vs. Doomsday' 2-packs which frequently command high resale values. The most researched 'grails' include the original 1990s Kenner figures still in their black 'Death of Superman' polybags and high-end statues from Sideshow and Prime 1 Studio that emphasize the creature's realistic, stony texture.

In the 'Superman & Lois' TV series, he was initially presented in a containment suit that mimicked his classic 1992 comic look before revealing a Bizarro transformation.
