Cronologia
Biografia
Roboute Guilliman is the Primarch of the XIII Legion, the Ultramarines, and one of the twenty genetically engineered sons of the Emperor of Mankind. Known as the 'Avenging Son' and the 'Master of Ultramar,' he is distinguished from his brothers by his peerless mastery of logistics, administration, and grand strategy.
Unlike many of his more warrior-focused siblings, Guilliman views war as a means to achieve stable governance and peace, a philosophy that allowed him to build the prosperous sub-empire of Ultramar. Following his resurrection in the late 41st Millennium, Guilliman has taken on the mantle of Lord Regent of the Imperium.
He is a figure of both immense power and deep isolation, as he finds himself leading a decaying, religious dystopia that stands in direct opposition to the secular, rational dreams of his father. Despite his internal grief and disillusionment, he remains the primary shield of humanity, spearheading the Indomitus Crusade to reclaim lost sectors of the galaxy from the Great Rift.
Storia
Guilliman's origins lie in the Great Crusade era, having been scattered across the galaxy by the Chaos Gods while still an infant. He landed on the world of Macragge, where he was adopted by Konor Guilliman, one of the planet's Consuls.
Under Konor’s tutelage, Roboute became a visionary leader, eventually uniting Macragge and its surrounding systems before being discovered by the Emperor.
During the Horus Heresy, he survived the catastrophic betrayal of the Word Bearers at Calth and later established Imperium Secundus as a beacon of hope when the fate of Terra was uncertain. His journey in the post-Heresy era saw him author the Codex Astartes, breaking the Legions into Chapters to prevent future civil wars. However, his service was seemingly ended at the Battle of Thessala in 121.M31, when he was fatally wounded by a poisoned blade wielded by his daemon-brother, Fulgrim, and placed in a stasis field for ten millennia.
Evoluzione
Roboute Guilliman has evolved from a hopeful architect of empire into a weary, pragmatic savior. During the Great Crusade, he was the ultimate administrator, believing that the Imperium would eventually transition to a peaceful civilian rule.
After the Horus Heresy, his focus shifted to preservation, leading him to create the Codex Astartes to safeguard against future tyranny. His modern incarnation in the 41st Millennium is more complex; he is a 'stranger in a strange land,' grappling with the religious fanaticism of the modern Imperium. He has transitioned from a general following his father's orders to a sovereign leader who must now interpret the Emperor's silence while modernizing the Space Marines through the Primaris project.
Da Collezione
For serious collectors, Roboute Guilliman is a cornerstone of any Warhammer display. The definitive model is the official Games Workshop plastic kit released during the 'Gathering Storm' event, which features him in the ornate Armor of Fate wielding the Emperor's Sword.
For those who prefer the character's pre-stasis aesthetic, Forge World produces a highly detailed resin figure as part of their 'Horus Heresy Primarch' series. Additionally, JoyToy has expanded into the 1/18 scale action figure market, releasing a massive, highly articulated version of Guilliman that has become a 'grail' for figure collectors. Value trends show that professionally painted (Golden Demon standard) versions of his plastic kit frequently fetch thousands of dollars on the secondary market.

Guilliman was the first Primarch to survive a sustained combat engagement in the vacuum of space without a pressurized helmet.
