QUI-GON JINN

Cronologia
Biografia

Qui-Gon Jinn was a maverick Jedi Master whose philosophy often placed him at odds with the Jedi High Council. While the Council focused on political mandates and the rigid structure of the Jedi Code, Jinn prioritized the 'Living Force,' a doctrine emphasizing the present moment and the immediate will of the Force.
This perspective guided him to the desert world of Tatooine, where he identified a young Anakin Skywalker as the Chosen One. Despite the Council's hesitation, Jinn remained adamant that the boy be trained, a decision that altered the course of galactic history.
During the Trade Federation's blockade of Naboo, Jinn served as a guardian of Peace and Justice, protecting Queen Padmé Amidala. His journey culminated in a tragic duel against the Sith Lord Darth Maul. Though he fell in combat, his legacy endured; Jinn was the first modern Jedi to rediscover the path to immortality. He successfully transcended death to become a Force Spirit, eventually guiding his former master Yoda and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi from beyond the grave, appearing to the latter on Tatooine ten years after the start of the Great Jedi Purge.
Storia

Born in 92 BBY on a terrestrial planet, Qui-Gon was identified as Force-sensitive within his first six months of life and taken to Coruscant for training. As a youngling, he was considered one of the Temple's most promising students, famously defeating his close friend Tahl in a lightsaber tournament during Exhibition Day.
His prowess attracted the attention of Count Dooku, who chose Jinn as his apprentice. Under Dooku's tutelage, Jinn embarked on numerous missions to the Outer Rim, facing pirates and corrupt corporations. One defining early mission involved the kidnapping of Senator Blix Annon by the pirate Lorian Nod, a former Jedi trainee.
These experiences with Dooku—characterized by lessons on betrayal and the complexities of galactic law—shaped Jinn into a stoic and independent Knight. Before attaining the rank of Master, Jinn also faced personal trials, including the loss of companions to a theta storm and his complicated training of the Padawan Xanatos, whose fall to the dark side deeply affected Jinn's path.

Evoluzione
Qui-Gon Jinn's evolution is defined by his transition from a star pupil to the Jedi Order's most prominent dissenter. In his youth, he was a competitive and highly skilled student, eager to prove himself to his intimidating master, Dooku. However, his experiences with the corruption of the Republic and the rigid bureaucracy of the Jedi Council led him to adopt a more spiritual, less political philosophy.
By the time of the Naboo Crisis, Jinn had evolved into a 'Gray' figure who followed the Force directly, even when it meant defying the Council's orders. His most profound evolution occurred after his physical death; by maintaining his consciousness, he bridged the gap between life and the cosmic Force, transforming from a warrior into an eternal guide. Modern media, such as 'Tales of the Jedi' and 'Jedi Knights,' continues to expand this evolution by showcasing how his early missions against corporate greed prefigured his later defiance of the Republic's status quo.
Da Collezione
For collectors, Qui-Gon Jinn remains a sought-after figure due to his status as the philosophical anchor of the prequel era. Iconic representations of the character are found within the LEGO Star Wars line, which has produced several iterations since 2005, including his 'Tatooine Disguise' and 'Classic' variants featured in 'The Skywalker Saga.' These figures are often centerpieces for Naboo-themed dioramas.
Additionally, the character has entered the digital collectible space via 'Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes,' where he serves as a powerful Jedi leader. A unique modern angle for collectors is found in the 2026 game 'Star Wars: Zero Company,' which features 'Force Echoes' of past Jedi like Jinn. These serve as narrative-driven collectibles that offer tactical lore, blending traditional character appreciation with interactive digital ownership. Collectors often look for items that highlight his signature green lightsaber and his serene, 'steady stillness'—the antithesis of the rage-fueled Sith figures like Maul.

He is the only Jedi known to have used his final message to send Mace Windu on a mission to a dangerous planet called the Glass Abyss.
