The scientific threat from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series takes physical form with this imposing Baxter Stockman figure, produced by Super7. A display piece that captures the villain's essence with a design that blends the lab chaos with the stage presence typical of the ReAction line.
The Scene
This sculpture captures the exact moment when Baxter Stockman's scientific madness reaches its transformational apex: his form mutated into Mutant Fly. The iconography is faithful to the 1987 animated series' original look and the classic toy line, with the character still wearing his signature lab coat, a detail that starkly contrasts with the insect-like nature of his new existence. The depicted scene is not a simple portrait, but an instant snapshot of the biological chaos that characterized the early episodes, offering collectors a precise and recognizable image of the threat the Ninja Turtles had to face in that particular appearance.
The Character
Born in the pages of TMNT #2 in 1984, Baxter Stockman is not just a simple antagonist, but the criminal genius who redefined technological threat in the Ninja Turtle universe. Under Mirage Studios' guidance, his scientific mind gave birth to the devastating MOUSER robots, creating an enemy capable of challenging the Turtles and Master Splinter on a purely engineering plane. His narrative arc is defined by a constant tension between independent ambition and coercion: forced to serve The Shredder and General Krang's machinations, Stockman represents the human vulnerability behind the saga's most lethal threats. For collectors, owning this figure means acquiring a cornerstone of the original mythology, a fundamental villain that embodies the comic's golden age and the moral complexity of a genius at the service of chaos.
Why Collect It
The signature of Kevin Eastman elevates this ReAction from a simple figure to a museum piece, confirming the authenticity and archival value of an item directly tied to the saga's origin. For the discerning collector, owning an example authenticated by the original creator means not just completing the Super 7 line but securing an artifact that testifies to Baxter Stockman's transition from ink to three-dimensional reality. It's the kind of piece that, displayed on a showcase, instantly communicates the depth of your collection, merging the iconicity of the original villain with the rarity of author certification, a cultural investment that transcends mere aesthetic taste to touch the heart of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles story.
