MaterialePlasticMaterialePlasticThe Red Hood mask (Batman: Three Jokers) stands as a 23 cm monolith, capturing the character’s menacing essence in a highly faithful mini‑replica. This Chase variant from the DC Direct line of McFarlane Toys is more than an exhibit item: it is an exclusive collector’s piece, crafted for true connoisseurs seeking that extra detail that distinguishes a simple gadget from a museum‑level work of art.
The Scene
This mini‑replica captures a specific, iconic moment: Red Hood with his cracked red helmet, exactly as seen in the comic miniseries Batman: Three Jokers (2020). The portrayed scene is not a generic action, but the character’s appearance in this particular state of wear, reflecting the tragic and raw nature of the story told in the comics. It is a portrait of a marked anti‑hero, frozen in time for collectors.
The Character
Jason Todd, the second Robin, embodies one of the deepest and most complex wounds in the Batman universe. His story transcends the simple sidekick role, evolving into an odyssey of trauma and redemption: after surviving a fatal beating at the hands of the Joker and being resurrected through reality‑altering events and a Lazarus Pit, Jason embraced the identity of Red Hood. This specific version, drawn from the acclaimed miniseries Batman: Three Jokers by Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok, is more than a costume; it’s a psychological war declaration. Here, the character confronts the emotional scars of his murder in a visceral showdown with the Crime‑Clown, rejecting the moral lines Batman upholds and choosing instead uncompromising vengeance. For collectors, this incarnation represents the anti‑hero at his most furious and determined, making the mask a tangible symbol of one of the most intense and meaningful storylines in modern Gotham saga.
Why Collect It
Few items manage to condense so much drama into a single resin piece. This mini‑replica is not a mere accessory; it’s a narrative turning point: it marks the moment Jason Todd stops being the Robin everyone knew to become the dark legend of Red Hood. The “Chase” label further elevates its profile, turning it from a simple memento into a high‑rank exhibit piece. In a display, this helmet doesn’t just occupy space: it commands attention, serving as a bridge between the second Robin’s tragedy and the fury of his alter‑ego. For collectors seeking depth beyond aesthetics, it is the element that transforms a figure collection into a true gallery of historical moments in the DC universe.
