Hal Jordan, the original and most iconic Green Lantern, returns in one of his most powerful and visually spectacular incarnations: the Parallax version. This 7‑inch figure from the DC Multiverse Gold Label line captures the pinnacle of Hal’s inner conflict, merging his heroic legacy with the cosmic threat of the Yellow Power.
Exclusive Walmart edition, this piece represents a high‑profile addition to any DC Comics‑dedicated collection, offering a rare opportunity to own one of the most sought‑after variants in the series.
The Scene
This sculpture captures the exact moment when terror has consumed the hero: Hal Jordan, corrupted by fear and transformed into the devastating Parallax entity, wears his unsettling costume after the tragic destruction of Coast City. It is the definitive image of the Emerald Twilight storyline, a moment of pure darkness that marks one of the most dramatic turning points in Green Lantern history.
The Character
The fall of Hal Jordan is not simple antagonism, but the tragic apex of Green Lantern mythology. After the destruction of Coast City, pain made him vulnerable to terror, allowing Parallax – an ancient cosmic parasite – to possess him. This event marked one of the most shocking transformations in DC history: Hal, from supreme hero, became the villain of his own comrades, destroying Oa’s Central Power Battery. His rise as Parallax, culminating in core sagas such as Emerald Twilight and Zero Hour, makes him a central figure for understanding the emotional and cosmic depth of the Green Lantern universe. Owning this version means holding the physical incarnation of one of the most intense and definitive narrative arcs in modern comics.
Why Collect It
Owning this figure means holding one of the darkest and most powerful chapters of Green Lantern history, sculpted in a 7‑inch format that highlights its threat. The Gold Label line and Walmart exclusive distribution make it a rare and sought‑after piece, ideal for those looking to complete their collection with variants no longer available in standard channels. It’s not just a figurine, but a physical reminder of the hero’s fragility, perfect for embellishing a display with a touch of pure drama and investment value recognized among McFarlane Toys collectors.
