Overview

Treasure Cruise World Journey is a specialized line of non-articulated prize statues produced by Banpresto, a division of Bandai Spirits. Developed in official partnership with Bandai Namco's hit gacha mobile title ONE PIECE Treasure Cruise, the line departs from standard canonical manga and anime attire.

Instead, it reimagines iconic characters created by Eiichiro Oda in unique, culture-themed, and globe-trotting outfits based on alternate costume designs featured during special events in the mobile game.

Positioned as prize figures obtainable through claw games and specialized anime retail outlets, the line features detailed static sculpts across various historical and regional aesthetics. Over its production run, Banpresto released 13 distinct statues grouped into six stylized volumes. Themes range from 19th-century American Wild West attire and 17th-century European musketeer gear to traditional Japanese yukatas, Arabian palace garments, and 1920s formal suits. The series offers collectors a distinct thematic alternative to standard figures while maintaining faithful connections to the mobile game's artistic vision.

History

The Treasure Cruise World Journey line debuted in early 2019, capitalizing on the popularity of the ONE PIECE Treasure Cruise mobile game, which launched in Japan in 2014 and globally in 2015. Banpresto introduced Volume 1 in January and February 2019 with a Wild West cowboy theme featuring Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, and Nami.

Following its initial release, the line evolved sequentially across six distinct volumes through early 2021, consistently releasing paired or trio character sets with matching thematic costumes.

Mid-2019 brought Volume 2's European musketeer designs featuring Sanji and Vinsmoke Reiju, followed by Volume 3's traditional Japanese yukatas with Boa Hancock, Sir Crocodile, and Dracule Mihawk in late 2019 and early 2020. In mid-2020, Volume 4 explored Arabian palace attire with Nefertari Vivi and Rebecca. The line concluded with Volume 5's 1920s dapper suit figures of Portgas D. Ace and Marco in late 2020, and Volume 6's Arabian explorer outfits with Sabo and Koala in early 2021. Between 2020 and 2021, Bandai Spirits also produced companion Ichiban Kuji lottery waves, leaving the 13-figure set as a completed legacy line.

Collecting

The Treasure Cruise World Journey series holds a unique position in the One Piece figure market. Unlike mainstream lines that replicate standard anime arc outfits, World Journey provides collectors with rare stylized depictions based directly on gacha game event art from ONE PIECE Treasure Cruise.

The intentional grouping of characters into matched aesthetic pairs—such as Ace and Marco in 1920s suits or Sabo and Koala in explorer gear—makes completing specific volumes especially satisfying for display setups. Since Banpresto concluded the line with Volume 6 in early 2021 and added no subsequent waves, the complete 13-statue set is now a finite legacy series. Figures are primarily traded on secondary platforms, specialized anime retail stores, and collector conventions. Demand remains consistent for high-profile pairings like the Volume 1 Wild West Straw Hats and Volume 5's dapper Ace and Marco, with full volume sets holding steady value among collectors seeking thematic display pieces.

LO SAPEVI?The entire product line consists of exactly 13 individual character statues released across six volumes between 2019 and 2021.
