Panoramica

Star Wars Force Link is an interactive toy line created by Hasbro in the classic 3.75-inch action figure scale. The line encompasses individual carded action figures, figure two-packs, multipacks, vehicles, and major playsets.

Positioned to bring play to life through sound and light, Force Link centers on Near Field Communication (NFC) wearable technology worn on the user's wrist or palm.

When a collector or child holds a Force Link-compatible action figure or vehicle near the reader, the gauntlet activates character-specific voice dialogue, sound effects, and lights corresponding to that specific item. Designed as Hasbro's flagship interactive 3.75-inch toy initiative for theatrical releases, the line covered characters from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story, as well as legacy characters from The Force Awakens, Rogue One, Star Wars Rebels, and the Original Trilogy.

Storia

Hasbro officially launched the Force Link line on September 1, 2017, as part of the Force Friday II global product reveal for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The initial release introduced Force Link 1.0 alongside a Starter Set containing the gauntlet reader and an exclusive 3.75-inch Kylo Ren action figure.

On April 13, 2018, Hasbro evolved the line with Force Link 2.0 to support the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Force Link 2.0 featured an updated gauntlet and introduced Bluetooth connectivity paired with a dedicated Force Link 2.0 Mobile App.

This innovation solved a major limitation of the original version by allowing users to update gauntlet firmware and download audio files for new figures. Following product releases in late 2018, Hasbro phased out Force Link in 2019, shifting its 3.75-inch focus back to The Vintage Collection while introducing new lines such as Star Wars Resistance, Galaxy of Adventures, and later the Epic Hero Series.

Collezionismo

The Star Wars Force Link line holds a distinct place in modern 3.75-inch collecting due to its blend of traditional action figure styling with wearable NFC audio technology. Collecting the line provides a comprehensive cross-section of Star Wars media from 2017 to 2018, spanning Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Rogue One, Star Wars Rebels, and the Original Trilogy.

For completists and 3.75-inch enthusiasts, the line's key centerpieces are its high-end vehicle and playset releases, specifically the $200 BB-8 Mega Star Destroyer Playset with its exclusive Supreme Leader Snoke figure and the $99.99 Kessel Run Millennium Falcon. Exclusive figure variants, such as the holographic Maz Kanata from the Entertainment Earth 5-pack and the starter set exclusive figures (Kylo Ren and young Han Solo), remain primary targets. Since the line was sunset in 2019 as Hasbro refocused on The Vintage Collection, Force Link stands as a unique, self-contained interactive chapter in Star Wars toy history.

LO SAPEVI?The largest and most expensive playset in the line was the $200 BB-8 Mega Star Destroyer Playset.
