Cronologia
Panoramica

McFarlane Toys' MegaFigure (MegaFig) line is a specialized sub-brand dedicated to oversized characters, heavyweights, and large creatures.
Introduced in 2021, the line is engineered at approximately a 1:10 scale, with figures standing between 8.5 and 12 inches tall.
This sizing enables large-format characters to accurately scale alongside McFarlane's standard 7-inch action figure releases. Positioned as premium deluxe offerings, MegaFigures give collectors large-scale presence without sacrificing compatibility with mainstream figure lines. Each figure features up to 22 points of Ultra Articulation for dynamic posability and comes packaged in collector-friendly window boxes accompanied by a character art card detailing backstory and artwork.
Storia

The MegaFigure line debuted in late 2021 with the release of Swamp Thing from DC Rebirth, which was made available in both Horned and Hornless variants as McFarlane's inaugural comic MegaFig.
Following this release, McFarlane rapidly expanded the line across cinematic blockbusters, animated shows, video game franchises, and comic storylines.
The line quickly expanded to encompass major theatrical releases including Zack Snyder's Justice League, The Suicide Squad, Dune, Black Adam, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Video game properties such as Warhammer 40,000, Batman: Arkham, Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat, and Disney Mirrorverse were also integrated. Over time, McFarlane developed specialized releases including Gold Label exclusives, store-specific variants, unpainted "Artist Proof" editions, and two-packs. 2026 marks the final operational year for McFarlane Toys' DC Multiverse MegaFigure scale before the licensing transitions back to Mattel in 2027.

Collezionismo
The MegaFigure line fills a distinct niche for 1:10 scale collectors by providing oversized villains, boss encounters, and creatures that display in realistic proportion alongside standard 7-inch action figures. The line's primary collectible appeal stems from its wide variety of licenses—ranging from DC Comics and Spawn to Warhammer 40,000 and major motion pictures.
Key collector targets within the line include Gold Label standalone releases, chase-style variants such as the bloodied King Shark, and unpainted "Artist Proof" figures. With 2026 representing the final operational year for McFarlane Toys' DC Multiverse MegaFigures ahead of the 2027 licensing shift to Mattel, the line's DC releases form a finite run, sustaining collector demand for complete sets and iconic standalone pieces.

The Warhammer 40,000 MegaFigure series includes unpainted "Artist Proof" variants made specifically for figure painters.
