Cronologia
Panoramica
Figure-rise Standard is a premier line of poseable, snap-fit plastic model kits produced by Bandai Spirits (formerly Bandai Hobby). Positioning itself as a bridge between traditional Gunpla model kits and dynamic action figures, the line primarily operates at 1/12 scale.
By leveraging Bandai's advanced injection-molding technology and Master Grade (MG) engineering background, Figure-rise Standard enables builders to assemble fully articulated, screen-accurate character figures without needing glue or paint.
The product line spans major global pop-culture franchises, including Dragon Ball, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Gundam, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Umamusume. Bandai Spirits positions Figure-rise Standard as an accessible yet highly detailed collectible format, combining poseability with crisp sculpts, internal light gimmicks, and specialized runner engineering.
Storia
The origins of Figure-rise Standard date back to 2009 with the launch of MG Figure-rise, a 1/8-scale line that applied Master Grade Gunpla construction to humanoid characters, beginning with Dragon Ball Z Super Saiyan Son Goku and expanding into Kamen Rider W and One Piece.
In 2012, Bandai shifted the format to 1/12 scale with Figure-rise 6 to lower price points and align with standard action figure sizing. The line officially rebranded as Figure-rise Standard in summer 2016, launching with Dragon Ball Z figures featuring the Muscle Build System.
Over time, Bandai built a broader brand ecosystem around it, incorporating sub-lines such as Figure-rise Mechanics (2016), portrait busts (Figure-rise Bust), experimental injection research (Figure-rise LABO), and the stylized redesign line Figure-rise Standard Amplified (2019). The line continues to expand across anime, gaming, and tokusatsu franchises.
I PEZZI DI FIGURE-RISE STANDARD
Collezionismo
Figure-rise Standard occupies a distinct space in the 1/12 scale market by offering an interactive model-building experience combined with the posability of a finished action figure. The line appeals directly to collectors who appreciate dynamic display options without needing paint skills, thanks to undergate runner engineering and pre-colored part separation.
From a market and value standpoint, standard retail releases are periodically reissued by Bandai Spirits, maintaining steady accessibility. However, specific variants—such as Premium Bandai web exclusives (like the Amplified Imperialdramon Limited Color Ver.) or first-production runs bundled with exclusive items (such as the signed artist poster in the initial 2018 Ultraman B Type release)—command strong interest on the secondary market among brand completionists.

The Figure-rise Standard Amplified sub-line features aggressive mechanical redesigns created by designer As'maria.
