Cronologia
Panoramica
The Battle Royale Collection is a micro-scale toy line created by Moose Toys in official partnership with Epic Games, based on the global video game phenomenon Fortnite Battle Royale.
Announced in August 2018 following a licensing agreement brokered by IMG, Moose Toys was established as the primary global partner for figures scaled under 3 inches. The figures stand approximately 2 inches tall (~5 cm) and feature 2 to 3 points of articulation.
Designed for display and customizable play, each figure comes equipped with a dedicated display stand, swappable weapons, Back Bling, and character accessories. The line was distributed across several standard retail formats, including Solo Packs (1 figure), Duo Packs (2 figures), and Squad Packs (4 figures). Beyond individual character packs, Moose Toys expanded the line with micro-scale vehicles—such as the ATK Golf Cart, the X-4 Stormwing Airplane, and a 13-inch Battle Bus playset—as well as panel-by-panel environment sets including the Port-a-Fort and the 2-to-4 story Megafort.
Storia
The history of the Battle Royale Collection began in August 2018 when Epic Games and Moose Toys formally announced their licensing partnership. Official pre-orders opened in November 2018 with product renders, leading up to the retail debut of Wave 1 in December 2018.
The initial release featured fan-favorite Chapter 1 skins across Solo, Duo, and Squad packs, along with a rare die-cast chase variant. At Toy Fair 2019, Moose Toys announced an ambitious roadmap promising over 100 collectible figures throughout the year.
Throughout 2019, the line expanded across Waves 2 through 4, introducing figures like Ice King, Calamity, and Tomatohead, alongside vehicle sets and modular build kits. The line's active production ended around 2020 as Epic Games shifted master toy licensing to partners like Jazwares and Hasbro for larger 4-inch and 6-inch figure lines, leaving the Battle Royale Collection as a complete, pocket-sized archive of Fortnite's early Chapter 1 era.

Collezionismo
For Fortnite enthusiasts and action figure collectors, Moose Toys' Battle Royale Collection represents a unique chapter in video game merchandise. Its primary appeal lies in its compact 2-inch scale, which allowed fans to build massive, space-efficient rosters featuring over 100 distinct character designs from the game's peak Chapter 1 period.
Because Moose Toys focused specifically on figures under 3 inches, the line provides an unmatched level of world-building when combined with its vehicle and playset offerings. Since the line concluded around 2020 following licensing transitions to Jazwares and Hasbro, the Battle Royale Collection has become a finite set for line completionists. Value on the secondary market remains strong for sealed multipacks, vehicle sets like the 13-inch Battle Bus, and figures from later 2019 waves. The ultimate centerpiece for line completionists is the Wave 1 die-cast chase figure, restricted to 1,000 pieces worldwide.

Wave 1 featured an ultra-rare die-cast chase figure capped at a global production run of just 1,000 units.
