Cronologia
Panoramica
Created by Tite Kubo, Bleach originated as a manga series in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in August 2001.
Over its 15-year original run, the manga produced 686 chapters compiled into 74 tankōbon volumes, winning the 50th Shogakukan Manga Award in 2005.
The intellectual property expanded into a massive media franchise including a 366-episode original TV anime series running from 2004 to 2012, four theatrical animated feature films, a 2018 live-action movie adaptation, multiple OVAs, a series of light novels, official databooks, dozens of video games across console and mobile platforms, and the multi-part modern anime revival series Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War running from 2022 through 2026.
Origini
The franchise began with the introduction of Ichigo Kurosaki, an orange-haired teenager capable of seeing spirits in Karakura Town.
His life changes when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami assigned to eliminate evil spirits called Hollows.
When Rukia is severely injured defending Ichigo's family, she attempts to lend him part of her power; Ichigo inadvertently absorbs almost all of it, becoming a Substitute Shinigami. This setup launched an overarching story arc moving from local spirit hunting to grand multi-dimensional warfare involving the Gotei 13, the Arrancar led by Sousuke Aizen, Fullbringers, and the Quincy army known as the Wandenreich.
