THE MUMMY

The Mummy is one of Universal Pictures' flagship Universal Classic Monsters, debuting on screen in 1932. Originating as an ancient Egyptian priest cursed and buried alive, the character has evolved across nearly a century of cinema from subtle gothic tragedy to relentless bandaged monster and supernatural action antagonist.
