MICHAEL BURNHAM

Michael Burnham is a prominent Starfleet officer created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman, portrayed primarily by Sonequa Martin-Green in the Star Trek franchise. Born on Earth and raised on Vulcan by Ambassador Sarek and Amanda Grayson, she holds the historic distinction of being the first main protagonist in a live-action Star Trek series who did not begin her run holding the rank of captain. Her career spans two eras across a millennium, rising from First Officer and convicted mutineer to Captain of the USS Discovery and eventually Starfleet Admiral.
