Darkseid, originally named Uxas, is the tyrannical New God ruler of the hellish planet Apokolips and one of the most formidable supervillains in DC Comics. Created by writer-artist Jack Kirby, his ultimate objective is to discover and unleash the Anti-Life Equation to strip away free will and enslave all sentient life across the Multiverse to his singular consciousness.
