ALAN SCOTT

Alan Scott is the original Green Lantern, created by writer Bill Finger and artist Martin Nodell in 1940. Powered by the magical Starheart rather than the alien technology of the Green Lantern Corps, he stands as a founding member and leader of the Justice Society of America. Across decades of comic history, Alan has evolved from a World War II hero into an openly gay elder statesman of the DC Universe.
