Biography
Stronghorn is a main-line Red Property Mecardimal in the Turning Mecard franchise created by Choirock Entertainment and Sonokong.
Defined by his fiery, proud, and hot-headed personality, Stronghorn is a dedicated warrior who participates in major battles across the realm. Originally tamed by Ryan (Lian) after debuting in Episode 15, he later becomes allied with Jason (Na-chan) and Isobel.
Throughout the storyline, Stronghorn plays a vital role in defending against major threats, including Black Mirror's clone Mecanimals and the ultimate future threat, Kentascon. Known for his intense spirit, he single-handedly withstands Krang's attacks and defeats him using his Hoof Stamp move, later serving as Isobel's primary battle partner during key operations on planet Triforce.
Origins & Backstory
Stronghorn's roots trace back to the ancient dimension war, where he fought as a proud bull warrior.
During this ancient conflict, he fell in love with Mirinae, a dynamic that defines much of his personal motivation.
His fiery nature also sparked a friendly rivalry with fellow Mechanimal Mothton, with whom he frequently clashes. When he first appears in the main storyline of Turning Mecard, Stronghorn is locked in battle with Mothton in an effort to win over Mirinae. This confrontation draws him into the active battle between human tamers, leading to his taming by Ryan and his subsequent entry into Jason's alliance.

Character Evolution
Stronghorn underwent both aesthetic and combat evolutions throughout the franchise. In Season 1 of Turning Mecard, he debuted with a gray vehicle alt-mode modeled after a Volvo C30 compact hatchback.
Beginning in Turning Mecard W, his vehicle and body color scheme permanently shifted from gray to green. Tactically, Stronghorn expanded his abilities from fundamental physical attacks like Body Crash and Hoof Stamp to advanced techniques such as Hornmerang and Magnetic Horn. Over time, he grew from an impetuous fighter into a versatile battle partner relied upon by multiple top tamers.
Collecting & Toys
Stronghorn holds a prominent place among Turning Mecard auto-transforming figures due to his color variants and long-running releases. The character was first produced in 2016 by Sonokong and Choirock Entertainment as Turning Mecard Stronghorn Gray, utilizing magnetic spring-transformation card action.
Following his in-show color redesign, he was re-released as Stronghorn Green during the Turning Mecard W line (2016–2017). Mattel brought the figure to the international market in 2018 under the Deluxe Mecardimal Series (Item code FXP21 / GBP81, UPC 887961720815). Most recently, Choirock re-launched the figure in the Turning Mecard Remaster Series (2024–2026), featuring upgraded magnetic transformation mechanisms and new packaging, making both original variants and modern remasters popular items on the secondary market.

Stronghorn's vehicle alt-mode is modeled after a real-world compact hatchback, the Volvo C30.
