SNAKE PREDATOR
A lethal master assassin from the Yautja underworld, the Snake Predator is a key member of the Serpent Clan known for his unique serpentine skin patterns. Cronologia
Biografia
The Snake Predator, a high-ranking member of the notorious Serpent Clan, is a specialized warrior who thrives in the Yautja underworld. Unlike many of his kin who seek glory through open hunts, Snake operates as a master assassin, taking on secret contracts for influential Elders who seek to gain leverage over rival clans.
His combat philosophy is centered on precision and silent lethality, making him a feared figure even among other Yautja tribes. Snake was notably present during the 1997 Los Angeles incident as part of the 'Lost Tribe' (or Los Angeles Hunting Party).
Alongside his clan mate Guardian, he boarded the Yautja spacecraft to retrieve the body of the City Hunter after the latter was defeated by Lt. Mike Harrigan. Adhering to the strict Yautja code of honor, Snake and his companions spared Harrigan, recognizing his victory before departing Earth's orbit. He is distinguished physically by his shorter dreadlocks and armor adorned with animal furs.
Storia
Raised in the treacherous environment of the Serpent Clan, Snake grew up in a culture where internal threats were as dangerous as off-world prey.
He was trained in the deadly arts alongside his younger brother, the Viper Predator, who eventually became the clan's leader.
Snake’s reputation is so formidable that even legendary leaders like Greyback have established ties with his clan; Greyback reportedly owes a significant debt to the Serpent Clan, which is occasionally repaid through the transfer of highly coveted off-world trophies that Snake is tasked to oversee.

Evoluzione
Snake Predator has evolved from a nameless background extra into one of the most lore-rich characters in the Predator expanded universe.
In his 1990 debut, he was simply a visual variant meant to show the diversity of the Yautja species, famously portrayed by professional basketball players to ensure an imposing stature.
As the franchise grew through collectibles, particularly via NECA, Snake was granted a specific identity as an assassin. This shift redefined him as a counter-point to the traditional hunter, moving away from iconic tools like the Plasmacaster and Wristblades in favor of a specialized 'underworld' aesthetic that highlights clan politics and mercenary work.
Da Collezione
For dedicated collectors, the Snake Predator is a 'must-have' to complete the Lost Tribe lineup. The most iconic version is the NECA Ultimate Snake Predator (2021), which features updated articulation and the definitive bio-mask and scythe accessories.
High-end collectors often seek the 'Shadow Predator' version produced by Hot Toys, which is prized for its detail and rarity on the secondary market. Other notable brands including Hiya Toys (1:18 scale) and Minimates have produced versions of the character. The 2025 Adidas 'Year of the Snake' boots represent a rare crossover collectible that has become a grail for fans of the character's unique skin-pattern aesthetic.

He is one of the few Predators whose lore was almost entirely developed by action figure manufacturers before being adopted by wider media.
