SLAVE I
Slave I (also known as Boba Fett's Starship or Firespray) is a heavily customized Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft originally manufactured by Kuat Systems Engineering. Owned by legendary bounty hunters Jango Fett and his clone son Boba Fett, the vessel is renowned throughout the galaxy for its vertical flight orientation, formidable hidden weaponry, and devastating seismic charges.
Cronologia
Biografia

Originally a prototype law enforcement vessel on the prison asteroid Oovo IV, Slave I became one of the most feared starships in the galaxy under the ownership of Jango Fett and later his clone son, Boba Fett.
Jango acquired the vessel during a mission to capture Bendix Fust, destroying all other prototype Firespray craft to ensure his ship remained one-of-a-kind. Following Jango's death at the Battle of Geonosis, young Boba Fett inherited the vessel and utilized it across his career as a mercenary and bounty hunter.
Throughout the Galactic Civil War, Slave I played a pivotal role in high-profile galactic events. Most famously, Boba Fett used the ship to track Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon from the Hoth system to Cloud City on Bespin, successfully transporting the carbonite-frozen Solo to Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine. Decades later, during the Era of the New Republic, Boba Fett reclaimed the starship from Jabba's palace alongside Fennec Shand, using its air support and seismic charges to aid Din Djarin on Tython and eliminate the Kintan Striders.
Storia

The origins of Slave I trace back to the asteroid prison Oovo IV, where Kuat Systems Engineering had produced six prototype Firespray-31 Pursuit Special patrol craft. While hunting the Dark Jedi Komari Vosa, bounty hunter Jango Fett infiltrated the prison to capture prisoner Bendix Fust.
During a chaotic prison riot, Jango's original ship, Jaster's Legacy, was destroyed by an attacking Firespray vessel. Guided by an elevator manager, Jango Fett and shape-shifter Zam Wesell fought their way into the prison's hangar bay. Jango commandeered one of the prototype Firesprays to escape.
To eliminate any possibility of pursuit, he launched two homing missiles back into the hangar, obliterating the remaining five prototypes. Jango subsequently named the vessel Slave I, making it the sole active Firespray-class starship in the galaxy for decades until Kuat Systems Engineering eventually reintroduced the line.
I PEZZI DI SLAVE I
Evoluzione
Over decades of service, Slave I underwent extensive mechanical and visual evolution. Originally built as a prototype Firespray-31 patrol craft on Oovo IV, Jango Fett converted two-thirds of its interior for upgraded Kuat drive engines and added heavy blaster cannons, laser cannons, and seismic charges. Following Jango's death, young Boba Fett inherited the craft, but it suffered near-total destruction when Aurra Sing crash-landed it on Florrum during a failed plot against Mace Windu. Pirate captain Hondo Ohnaka salvaged the damaged craft, rebuilt its hull, and painted it green.
After Boba Fett reacquired the ship and repaired dogfight damage with help from Anakin Skywalker, he took it to Kuat Drive Yards for professional retrofitting. Boba replaced the laser cannons with ion cannons and concussion missile launchers, installed a cloaking device and sensor-jamming array, and added a gyroscopic cockpit system to keep the pilot upright while the ship flies vertically. In recent real-world history, Disney and Lucasfilm shifted merchandise packaging descriptions to 'Boba Fett's Starship' or 'Firespray', with Boba Fett officially referring to the vessel as his 'Firespray gunship' in The Book of Boba Fett.
Da Collezione
For Star Wars collectors, Slave I remains one of the most sought-after vehicle designs in toy history. Kenner introduced the original toy in 1980 for The Empire Strikes Back toy line, featuring a rotating cockpit seat and gravity-fed bomb release, which remains a prized holy grail for vintage enthusiasts. Hasbro has maintained this legacy through The Vintage Collection, issuing premium 3.75-inch scale releases featuring intricate weathering, opening hull panels, and rank accessories.
In the building block category, LEGO has produced multiple highly coveted iterations. Notable highlights include the 2025 Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) set (#75409) titled Jango Fett's Firespray-Class Starship, alongside playscale releases like set #75433 Jango Fett's Starship. For micro-scale vehicle collectors, Jazwares produces detailed renditions in the Micro Galaxy Squadron line, while specialized gaming pieces like WizKids' PocketModel uniquely depicted the ship's battle-damaged state prior to Hondo Ohnaka's repairs.

WizKids produced a PocketModel game piece that specifically showed Slave I in its damaged state prior to being rebuilt and repainted green by Hondo Ohnaka.
