SISU
Sisudatu, better known as Sisu, is the divine water dragon and deuteragonist of Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon (2021). Self-deprecating, funny, and deeply trusting, she joins Raya on a quest across Kumandra to assemble the broken Dragon Gem, defeat the Druun, and restore unity to humanity.
Cronologia
Biografia

Sisudatu, commonly known as Sisu, is the last remaining dragon in the magical realm of Kumandra. Contrary to the divine, awe-inspiring legend surrounding her, Sisu considers herself a self-deprecating "C-student" who relies on lighthearted jokes and slang.
Despite her quirky demeanor, she possesses deep emotional wisdom, intuition, and an unwavering belief in trust and unity. When the magical Dragon Gem is shattered and the demonic Druun return to terrorize the land, a warrior princess named Raya awakens Sisu from a 500-year slumber.
Together, they travel through the five divided realms of Kumandra—Heart, Fang, Spine, Tail, and Talon—to retrieve the scattered gem pieces and save their world. Throughout her journey, Sisu serves as Raya's moral guide, constantly encouraging forgiveness and trust even toward adversaries like Namaari. Though she is tragically shot and killed during a tense confrontation, her sacrifice and message of faith ultimately inspire the leaders of Kumandra to unite, leading to her revival alongside her dragon siblings.
Storia

In ancient times, Kumandra was a peaceful land protected by dragons.
When a soul-stealing plague known as the Druun swept across the world and turned living beings into stone, Sisu's four siblings—Pengu, Pranee, Jagan, and Amba—concentrated their combined magic into a single Dragon Gem.
Entrusted with the artifact, Sisu unleashed its power to blast away the Druun and revive humanity, though her siblings remained petrified. Exhausted by the magic, Sisu floated downstream and fell into a deep sleep at the river's end for five centuries while human tribes grew divided and fought over the gem.
I PEZZI DI SISU
Evoluzione
During early development, Sisu was originally envisioned as a male dragon named Katsu who closely resembled a traditional Chinese dragon.
Directors and writers later transformed the character into a female water dragon named Sisu, grounding her design in the Nāga, a serpentine water deity from Southeast Asian mythology. Her human form's facial features and energetic demeanor were directly inspired by her voice actress, Awkwafina. Storytellers also debated whether Sisu should stay dead at the film's climax, but producer Osnat Shurer pushed for her revival to create a joyful, traditional Disney ending.
Da Collezione
Sisu's vibrant dragon form and distinct human disguise have yielded a wide array of official collectibles.
Major toy manufacturers and Disney Merchandise produce poseable fashion dolls, plush toys, and mini-figures capturing both of her designs. She is featured in tabletop releases such as the Raya and the Last Dragon: Dice Game and Ravensburger matching card games, as well as digital collectibles within crossover mobile titles like Disney Emoji Blitz and Disney Tsum Tsum.

Her human form's appearance and personality were modeled after her voice actor, Awkwafina.
