RYOMEN SUKUNA
Ryomen Sukuna is the legendary 'King of Curses' and the primary antagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise. Originally a human sorcerer from the Heian Era, his soul was divided into twenty indestructible fingers that, when consumed, allow him to reincarnate in a modern host.
Cronologia
Biografia
Ryomen Sukuna is a legendary figure known as the 'Strongest Sorcerer in History.' During the Heian Era, the Golden Age of Jujutsu, he was an 'Imaginary Demon' who was actually a human sorcerer with a monstrous appearance, featuring four arms and two faces.
After his death, his soul was preserved in twenty mummified fingers, which were scattered across Japan as cursed objects. His modern-day story begins in 2018 when a high schooler named Yuji Itadori consumes one of these fingers, turning himself into a vessel for the King of Curses.
As a personality, Sukuna is the peak of social darwinism: he is egocentric, hedonistic, and exceptionally sadistic. He cares nothing for human life, likening people to insects and relishing in the screams of his victims. Despite his brutal nature, he is cold and calculating, often manipulating his hosts and enemies through binding vows to achieve his ultimate resurrection. While he initially occupies Yuji's body, his interest eventually shifts toward Megumi Fushiguro, leading to a devastating confrontation with the modern era's strongest sorcerers.
Storia
Sukuna's origins date back over a thousand years to the Heian Era (794–1185). Even in an age filled with elite sorcerers, Sukuna stood unrivaled.
He famously slaughtered the Sun, Moon, and Stars Squad and the Five Empty Generals, the elite forces of the Fujiwara Clan. His power was so absolute that authorities held festivities in his honor out of pure terror.
Although he lived as a human, his physical form was a freak of nature with four eyes, two mouths, and four arms. Upon his death, his power was so immense that it could not be fully destroyed, leading to the creation of the twenty cursed fingers that serve as the catalysts for his return in the modern 21st-century setting.
Evoluzione
Sukuna's evolution is marked by his gradual recovery of power and host transitions. He begins the series as a dormant soul within a single finger. After possessing Yuji, he remains largely contained, appearing only in bursts of power like the Shibuya Incident.
His evolution takes a radical turn when he transfers his soul to Megumi Fushiguro, granting him access to the Ten Shadows Technique and the ability to defeat Satoru Gojo. In the final stages of the Shinjuku Showdown, Sukuna fully reincarnates into his 'True Form' from the Heian Era, restoring his four-armed, two-faced body and peak physical strength. Even decades later in the 2086 setting of JJK Modulo, his techniques persist as a form of legendary 'ancient technology' studied by futuristic sorcerers.
Da Collezione
Ryomen Sukuna is a 'grail' character for many collectors, with figures focusing on both his Yuji-vessel form and his Heian True Form. Bandai's S.H.Figuarts line provides highly poseable 1/12 scale figures, while Kotobukiya's ARTFX J series offers high-quality static poses that are popular for their detail.
For high-end collectors, the 'Sukuna on Throne' statues—particularly the 1/7 scale by Shibuya Scramble and the massive statues from Prime 1 Studio—are considered the most prestigious pieces. Collectors also frequently hunt for the 'Megumi-vessel' versions and the mummified finger replicas, which are sold as 1:1 scale prop collectibles.

In the year 2086, his 'Divine Flame' is researched as a form of lost ancient technology.
