Biografia
Raven Spawn—originally known in life as Lord Kray-Von Gore—is a formidable villain and Death Knight within the Image Comics Spawn Universe.
Re-formed in Hell under the command of Malebolgia, Kray-Von Gore serves as a high-ranking commander from the realm's southernmost army.
His primary mandate is to torment and defeat Al Simmons, particularly after Simmons claimed control of Hell's throne. Operating as a master of psychological and physical warfare, Raven Spawn utilizes sinister tactics, mind games, and supernatural swarms to challenge Spawn's dominion. In mainline continuity, he even sets elaborate traps for Al Simmons, proving himself to be one of the most persistent and cunning demonic antagonists in the expanded franchise lore.
Storia
In his mortal life, Kray-Von Gore was a corrupt and ruthless knight who committed horrific sins.
Upon his death, his damned soul was sent to Hell, where Malebolgia re-forged him into a Death Knight to lead demonic legions.
In alternate continuity lore established in Adventures of Spawn, Kray-Von Gore was a powerful demonic lord credited with forging the iconic K7-Leetha necroplasmic suit. Following his eventual defeat in that timeline, his essence was sealed inside the Necro-Stone, which ultimately became the power source for Spawn-X.

Evoluzione
Raven Spawn underwent a dramatic evolution from a visual concept into a standalone canonical villain. Created visually by artist Ashley Wood alongside Todd McFarlane in 2001's Hellspawn #9–11, he was initially presented merely as an internal demonic visual state of Al Simmons.
McFarlane Toys produced an action figure of the design in 2002, which sparked significant fan interest. Writer Jon Goff subsequently expanded the character's backstory in 2007's Adventures of Spawn: Secret Files, naming him Lord Kray-Von Gore. Finally, in 2022's King Spawn #13, he was officially integrated into mainline comic continuity as an independent, fully realized Death Knight of Hell.
Da Collezione
Raven Spawn holds a unique position in collectibles history, having originated as a toy design concept before becoming a fully integrated comic character. McFarlane Toys first produced him in 2002 as part of Spawn Series 21: Alternate Realities, capturing Ashley Wood's distinct avian-armored artwork.
In 2021, McFarlane Toys featured a redesigned 7-inch Raven Spawn figure as a flagship release in Wave 1 of their updated Spawn Universe line. A highly sought-after variant arrived in 2023 with the Spawn Wave 3: Raven Spawn (Small Hook Edition) 7-inch figure, which included a scythe, axe, and custom display base.

In alternate lore, Lord Kray-Von Gore forged the K7-Leetha suit worn by Spawn.
