Cronologia
Biografia

Princess Zarda (also known as Zarda Shelton or Power Princess) is an immortal Utopian warrior hailing from Earth-712's Utopia Isle.
Engineered with superhuman gifts through ancient Kree experimentation, she serves as the core powerhouse of the Squadron Supreme—Marvel's deliberate counterpart to DC's Justice League. Throughout her long history, Zarda has striven to protect humanity and eliminate world hardship.
From battling during World War II with the Golden Agency to helping implement the Squadron's controversial 'Utopia Program' to end crime and disease, Zarda struggles to balance her Utopian ideals with her duties as an ambassador and warrior. Across multiple multiversal shifts—including spans with the reality-hopping Exiles, the dark MAX imprint universe, and the Earth-616 Squadron Supreme of America—Power Princess consistently stands out as an unstoppable, fiercely determined physical combatant.
Storia

Zarda was born on Utopia Island, an isolated paradise inhabited by the Utopians—an advanced, peaceful offshoot of humanity genetically altered by the Kree. During World War II, a U.S. Navy sailor named Howard Shelton was shipwrecked on Utopia Island.
While helping him recover, Zarda learned of the global war raging outside and decided to leave her peaceful home to assist the Allies, joining the Golden Agency alongside heroes like American Eagle and Professor Imam. During her time in the human world, Zarda fell in love with and married Howard Shelton.
When humanity developed nuclear weapons, the remaining Utopians converted their city into a starship and left Earth, but Zarda chose to remain behind as an ambassador for Utopian principles. She later co-founded the superhero team known as the Squadron Supreme alongside Hyperion, Nighthawk, Doctor Spectrum, Whizzer, Amphibian, and Skymax. Despite the heartbreak of watching her human husband age while her Utopian longevity kept her young, Zarda continued her tireless crusade to defend Earth.

Evoluzione
Created in 1982 by writer J.M. DeMatteis and artist Don Perlin, Power Princess originated as a clear homage to DC Comics' Wonder Woman. Early publications briefly assigned her the human alias 'Claire Debussy' before writer Mark Gruenwald solidified her canonical Earth-712 background in the 1985 'Squadron Supreme' miniseries, establishing her as an immortal Utopian ambassador married to a mortal human.
Over the decades, Marvel writers introduced drastically darker iterations of Zarda. In J. Michael Straczynski's 2003 MAX imprint series 'Supreme Power' (Earth-31916), she was reimagined as a ruthless, ancient goddess driven to conquer the world alongside Hyperion. Most recently in Jason Aaron's 2021 'Heroes Reborn' event, Zarda became an Earth-616 artificial simulacrum created by Phil Coulson and Mephisto—a brainwashed champion wrestler turned aggressive, rogue anti-hero who ultimately slays her own teammate Doctor Spectrum.
Da Collezione
For action figure collectors, Power Princess achieved high-demand status through Hasbro's 6-inch Marvel Legends line. Released in late 2023 / early 2024 as part of the 'Void' Build-A-Figure wave, her first-ever Marvel Legends figure depicts her modern 'Heroes Reborn' warrior armor.
Featuring 29 points of articulation, premium paint applications, alternate hands, her signature clear shield, and a broadsword, the figure received widespread praise from toy reviewers as one of the finest sculpts in the entire Marvel Legends line. Because the figure sold out rapidly and commanded high prices on secondary market platforms like eBay, Hasbro officially scheduled reissues for late 2025 into 2026 alongside other sought-after female figures like Carol Danvers Warbird, making her a prized centerpiece for Squadron Supreme and Avengers figure displays.
