The Scene
This figure depicts the comic-book version of Power Princess (Zarda), exactly as she appears in the pages of Squadron Supreme (Marvel Comics, 2024). The scene captures her in her role as a team member, equipped with her distinctive sword and shield.
The Character
Zarda Shelton, known as Power Princess, is not merely a support member of Squadron Supreme on Earth‑712, but she is the narrative core and symbol of balance between brute strength and diplomacy. Originating from Utopia Island, where her race was shaped by ancient Kree genetic experiments, Zarda carries the legacy of a secluded but technologically advanced paradise. Her narrative arc centers on the decision to leave her homeland to act as a peace ambassador, a role that led her to become a founding member of the team, giving it the stability needed to operate as a hero squad in an alternate universe. In Marvel mythology, her unique significance lies in the contrast between her near‑immortal nature and her active commitment to defending Earth‑712, making her a crucial figure for those studying parallel reality team dynamics. In this figure, which portrays her in her iconic classic form with the indestructible shield, she embodies the essence of an ’80s warrior leader: not just physical power, but the ideological pillar upon which the entire squad rests, a vital element for understanding the cohesion of Squadron Supreme alongside Hyperion.
Why Collect It
