Naruto Uzumaki is a ninja of Konohagakure's Uzumaki clan and the primary protagonist of his self-titled universe. Born on October 10th as the son of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and Kushina Uzumaki, he became the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails on the night of his birth.
Despite facing severe social isolation and resentment from villagers throughout his early life, Naruto harbored the ambitious dream of becoming the village's Hokage to earn acknowledgement and respect from everyone.
Guided by his nindō of never going back on his word, Naruto formed Team Kakashi alongside Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno under the leadership of Kakashi Hatake. Over time, his goals shifted from seeking personal status to protecting his loved ones and dismantling the world's destructive cycle of hatred. Through fights against global threats like the Akatsuki, Obito, Madara, and Kaguya, Naruto proved his strength, ultimately achieving his lifelong dream by becoming the Seventh Hokage (Nanadaime Hokage) and the most powerful shinobi in history.
Storia
Naruto was born on October 10 to Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. Immediately following his birth, a masked man named Tobi attacked Konoha and extracted the Nine-Tails from Kushina. To save the village, Minato sacrificed his soul to split the Nine-Tails' chakra, sealing the Yin half inside himself and the Yang half inside infant Naruto.
Both Minato and Kushina died protecting Naruto from the Nine-Tails' assault. Orphaned at birth, Naruto received only his mother's surname by order of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, to shield him from his father's enemies.
Ignorant of his true heritage, Naruto was shunned and resented by the majority of Konohagakure's adults, who viewed him as the beast that destroyed their village. This ostracization caused Naruto to pull attention-seeking pranks. During his time at the Ninja Academy under instructor Iruka Umino, he failed to graduate three times and was labeled a dunce. Despite his early struggles, he formed a one-sided rivalry with Sasuke Uchiha and earned the hidden affection of Hinata Hyūga after defending her from bullies.

Throughout his journey, Naruto transforms both physically and emotionally. In Part I, he is a short, hyperactive 12-to-13-year-old Genin wearing green forehead goggles and a bright orange-and-blue tracksuit. Driven by a desperate longing for acknowledgement, his actions are loud and unpredictable.
By Part II (ages 15 to 17), after two and a half years of training with Jiraiya, he adopts a form-fitting black-and-orange outfit, grows significantly taller, and matures mentally after learning of his master's death and Nagato's suffering, resolving to break the world's cycle of hatred. In adulthood (the Blank Period and New Era), Naruto becomes one of the tallest shinobi of his class. After losing his right arm in his final duel with Sasuke, he gains a bandages-wrapped prosthetic limb made of Hashirama Senju's cells. As the Seventh Hokage, he wears a white cape with a red flame hem and the vertical kanji for 'Seventh Hokage', symbolizing his transition from the village's dunce to its revered leader, protector, and parent.
