Cronologia
Biografia
Kozuki Momonosuke is the current Shogun of Wano Country and the head of the Kozuki Family. First introduced during the Punk Hazard Arc pretending to be the son of his retainer Kin'emon to hide his identity, he was eventually revealed to be the legitimate heir of Kozuki Oden and Kozuki Toki.
Though mentally an eight-year-old child throughout most of his journey, he bears the immense responsibility of restoring his family's honor and liberating Wano from tyranny. Across the Dressrosa, Zou, and Wano Country Sagas, Momonosuke serves as the central figurehead for the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance alongside Monkey D. Luffy and Trafalgar Law.
During the climactic Onigashima Raid, Momonosuke asks Shinobu to use her Juku Juku no Mi ability to physically age his body by 20 years so he can turn into a full-sized dragon. Utilizing his newfound power, he manifests Flame Clouds to hold up the falling island of Onigashima, saving the Flower Capital. Following the defeat of Kaidou and Orochi, Momonosuke assumes his rightful position as Shogun to unanimous support from Wano's citizens.
Storia
Momonosuke was born 28 years ago aboard the Whitebeard Pirates' flagship, the Moby Dick, while his father Oden was sailing at sea. He later traveled aboard the Oro Jackson with the Roger Pirates, exploring the world before his family returned to Wano Country.
When Momonosuke was eight years old, his father was publicly executed after the Kozuki Family was deposed by Kurozumi Orochi and Kaidou.
To preserve the Kozuki bloodline, his mother, Kozuki Toki, used her Toki Toki no Mi ability to send Momonosuke and four loyal retainers—Kin'emon, Kanjuro, Raizo, and Kiku—20 years forward into the future. Upon reappearing in modern Wano, Momonosuke and his retainers set out to sea to gather allies for a planned rebellion. During their journey, Momonosuke became stranded on Punk Hazard, where he accidentally consumed Vegapunk's artificial Devil Fruit before joining forces with the Straw Hat Pirates.

Evoluzione
Momonosuke's journey is defined by his transition from a traumatized child into a resolute ruler. Initially hiding behind a prideful samurai mask, he suffered from severe acrophobia caused by Kaidou threatening to drop him off Kuri Castle, as well as a deep complex over his inability to match his father Oden's strength. Posing as Kin'emon's son, his initial immaturity and fear hindered his ability to lead.
Spurred on by Luffy's tough love, Momonosuke gradually accepted his leadership role within the alliance. His turning point occurred during the Onigashima Raid, where he voluntarily surrendered 20 years of his physical life to assist in battle. By overcoming his fear of heights, biting Kaidou in dragon form, and generating Flame Clouds to save the Flower Capital, Momonosuke shed his weakness and earned his title as one of Wano's greatest leaders.
Da Collezione
For collectors and players, Kozuki Momonosuke holds a unique position in One Piece merchandise and gaming media. He is widely featured in the official Bandai One Piece Card Game, starting with his prominent OP01-041 Green Leader card from the initial sets through expansions like OP06 and OP16 'The Time of Battle'.
In digital card games like One Piece Treasure Cruise, he appears across child, small dragon, and adult shogun variants. His dynamic shift from a support non-playable character into a major playable combatant—such as his adult dragon transformation in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 DLC Pack 5—has established his adult Shogun design as a highly sought-after representation across game figures, cards, and series collectibles.

The shaven part of his childhood head was turquoise to match his mother's and sister's hair color.
