Cronologia
Biografia

Mirabel Madrigal is a 15-year-old Colombian girl and the youngest daughter of Julieta and Agustín Madrigal. Growing up in a hidden mountain haven called the Encanto, she is the only member of her extraordinary family who was not granted a magical gift during her fifth birthday ceremony.
Despite being viewed as an outsider by her grandmother Abuela Alma and feeling isolated within her own house, Mirabel maintains an optimistic, quirky, and deeply empathetic nature.
When cracks begin appearing in Casita—the family's sentient magical home—and the miracle candle begins to flicker, Mirabel takes it upon herself to investigate the dying magic. Through her determination to help her relatives, she uncovers the heavy emotional burdens and pressures hidden behind her family's perfectionist facades. Ultimately, Mirabel serves as the emotional anchor that heals her family's generational trauma, proving that her true strength lies in her unconditional love and compassion.
Storia

Mirabel was raised in Casa Madrigal alongside her older sisters Isabela and Luisa, as well as her cousins. During her early childhood, she shared the nursery room with her cousin Camilo, who was born just three months before her.
On the night of her fifth birthday gift ceremony, Mirabel excitedly approached her magical door handle, only for the door to vanish into thin air before granting her a power. The unexpected failure of the ceremony shocked the entire community and deeply troubled Abuela Alma.
Over the following decade, Alma and Isabela grew distant from Mirabel due to her lack of magic and the mounting societal expectations on the family. Driven by a desire to belong and make her family proud, Mirabel spent her teenage years constantly offering help around the house, despite frequently being sidelined during major family events.

Evoluzione
Conceived by directors Jared Bush, Byron Howard, and co-director Charise Castro Smith, Mirabel was crafted as a relatable figure exploring familial archetypes and imposter syndrome. Her visual design reflected an imperfect, creative teenager, complete with hand-drawn diary-style embroidery on her Colombian skirts.
Voice actress Stephanie Beatriz drew from her own personal experiences with self-doubt to give Mirabel an authentic emotional depth. From her initial role as a giftless outcast struggling to justify her place in Casa Madrigal, Mirabel evolved into a symbol of emotional intelligence and healing. Across expanded Disney media—including short films, video games, and literature—she has maintained her status as a historic Disney lead who triumphs through ordinary empathy, self-acceptance, and resilience rather than magical power.

Voice actress Stephanie Beatriz recorded her performance drawing directly on her personal experiences with imposter syndrome.
