Cronologia
Biografia

Yuriko Oyama, known primarily as Lady Deathstrike, is a formidable adversary in the Marvel Universe whose life is defined by a fierce commitment to her family legacy. She is the daughter of Lord Dark Wind (Kenji Oyama), the Japanese scientist who invented the procedure for bonding indestructible adamantium to human bone.
Believing that Wolverine's adamantium-laced skeleton was stolen from her father's research, Yuriko dedicated her life to slaying Logan and recovering his skeleton as her rightful inheritance.
To surpass Wolverine in single combat, Yuriko willingly surrendered her humanity at Spiral's cybernetic "Body Shoppe." Transformed into an adamantium-enhanced living weapon, she was equipped with 12-inch extendable adamantium finger-claws, computer interfacing systems, and self-repairing bionics. As Lady Deathstrike, she frequently serves as the tactical leader of the cyborg squad known as the Reavers and remains one of X-Men's most ruthless recurring enemies.
Storia

Yuriko Oyama was born to Kenji Oyama, a disfigured former Japanese kamikaze pilot who became the tyrannical Lord Dark Wind. Obsessed with his own failure and facial disfigurement, Dark Wind brutally scarred Yuriko and her brothers with matching marks. He built a private criminal empire on his island, hiring assassins and developing an adamantium-bonding process to manufacture a super-soldier army.
After her brothers died in a political assassination attempt and her lover Kira blindly embraced her father's violent cult, Yuriko guided the superhero Daredevil to her father's island and personally executed Lord Dark Wind to end his tyranny. Her freedom, however, turned to grief when Kira committed suicide in despair over Dark Wind's death. Distraught, Yuriko resolved to fulfill her father's legacy.
Adopting samurai garb and the name Lady Deathstrike, she pursued Bullseye and eventually Wolverine, whom she accused of possessing stolen adamantium. After suffering defeat in Canada at the hands of Alpha Flight's Vindicator, Yuriko realized her human limitations. She made a pact with the sorceress Spiral, undergoing extreme cybernetic modifications in Spiral's Body Shoppe to emerge as a fully augmented cyborg living weapon.

Evoluzione
Lady Deathstrike's depiction has evolved continuously since her creation. Introduced as Yuriko Oyama by Dennis O'Neil and William Johnson in *Daredevil* #197 (1983), she was initially a human noblewoman seeking vengeance against her cruel father. Her transition into Lady Deathstrike was crafted by Bill Mantlo, Sal Buscema, Chris Claremont, and Barry Windsor-Smith in 1986 (*Alpha Flight* #33 and *Uncanny X-Men* #205), replacing her human bodily form with cybernetic machine augmentations and extended 12-inch adamantium finger-claws.
Throughout subsequent comic eras, she evolved from a solo assassin into the strategic force behind Donald Pierce's Reavers, an operative for William Stryker, a government-monitored agent in the Thunderbolts, and a member of the Sisterhood of Mutants. Recent storyline developments include her participation in the Weapon X nanite experiments, her mind-controlled capture in *Rogue & Gambit* (2023), and her 2026 alternate-universe human reimagining in *Ultimate Wolverine* #14 as a cyborg victim of Directorate X. Her media footprint has expanded concurrently from 1990s animated television to live-action portrayals by Kelly Hu (*X2*) and Jade Lye (*Deadpool & Wolverine*), alongside major gaming appearances in titles like PS5's *Marvel's Wolverine* (2026).
