KREACHER
Kreacher is an ancient house-elf who served the noble House of Black across multiple generations, enduring decades of dark magic, servitude, and isolation. Although initially hostile toward non-pure-blood wizards, Kreacher underwent a profound transformation after Harry Potter showed him kindness, leading him to become a heroic defender in the Battle of Hogwarts.
Cronologia
Biografia

Kreacher is a house-elf who spent generations bound in servitude to the Black family at 12 Grimmauld Place. Heavily influenced by the pure-blood supremacist views of his late mistress, Walburga Black, Kreacher was intensely devoted to family members who showed him affection, most notably her youngest son, Regulus Black.
When Sirius Black inherited the house and offered it as headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix, Kreacher was forced to serve a master he despised, leading him to covertly betray Sirius to Narcissa Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange, which ultimately resulted in Sirius's death in 1996. Following Sirius's death, ownership of Kreacher passed to Harry Potter.
Although Harry initially sent him to work in the Hogwarts kitchens, Kreacher's loyalty completely transformed in 1997 when Harry presented him with Regulus Black's fake locket as a gift. Overcome with gratitude, Kreacher embraced Harry as his true master, cooked for the trio, and successfully captured Mundungus Fletcher to help retrieve Salazar Slytherin's real locket. During the Battle of Hogwarts on May 2, 1998, Kreacher reached his heroic peak by rallying and leading the Hogwarts house-elves into combat against Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters in the name of Regulus Black and Harry Potter. He survived the war and continued his service, living to an extraordinarily advanced age.
Storia

Kreacher's tragic history is tied directly to Lord Voldemort's Horcrux plot. In 1979, Regulus Black volunteered Kreacher to assist Voldemort, who brought the house-elf to an underground seaside cave. Voldemort forced Kreacher to drink the excruciating Emerald Potion in a basin to hide Salazar Slytherin's Locket and left him to die at the hands of the Inferi.
However, Voldemort failed to realize that house-elf magic bypasses wizarding anti-Apparition protections; obeying Regulus's prior command to return home, Kreacher Disapparated out of the cave.
Regulus later ordered Kreacher to take him back to the cave, where Regulus drank the potion himself and ordered Kreacher to swap the real locket with a fake one, take the real locket home, and destroy it without telling the Black family. Kreacher watched Regulus get dragged underwater by Inferi and was left traumatized, unable to destroy the Horcrux despite numerous attempts. Following Walburga Black's death in 1985, Kreacher spent a decade living in solitary decay at 12 Grimmauld Place, preserving her shrieking portrait until the Order of the Phoenix repurposed the house.
I PEZZI DI KREACHER
Evoluzione
Kreacher's trajectory represents one of the most poignant character arcs in the series, illustrating how systemic mistreatment breeds bitterness, while kindness can inspire redemption.
Initially introduced as a filthy, muttering house-elf wearing a dirty loincloth and spouting pure-blood insults, Kreacher was driven near insanity by years of isolation and his inability to fulfill Regulus Black's final order to destroy the locket. His turning point occurred when Harry Potter recognized Kreacher's grief and presented him with Regulus's fake locket as an heirloom. Touched by this gesture of respect, Kreacher underwent an immediate physical and emotional shift: he cleaned himself, swapped his dirty rag for a clean white towel, prepared meals for the trio, and ultimately led the Hogwarts house-elves into battle shouting Regulus's name.
