Cronologia
Biografia
Sy-Klone is a Heroic Warrior who fights alongside He-Man and the Masters of the Universe to protect Eternia. Known as the 'Human Tornado,' he utilizes his ability to spin his body at immense speeds to generate destructive whirlwinds and deflect enemy attacks in combat.
While his initial television appearances in the 1980s Filmation animated series were limited to brief cameos, his character received major development in the 2002 reboot series.
In that iteration, he was established as the mystical, centuries-old samurai warrior and solitary defender of the deserted floating island of Anwat Gar, entrusted with guarding the island's ancient Legacy Stones. In battle, Sy-Klone is known for his dedication, wisdom, and honorable spirit. Although his tendency to speak in ancient proverbs and metaphors occasionally annoys his comrades, he is deeply loyal to the Masters of the Universe, viewing them as his true family after discovering his ancestral lineage had vanished long ago.
Storia
Sy-Klone's origins differ across various Masters of the Universe continuities. In the 1985 Golden Books hardcover 'I Have the Power,' he was portrayed as a former circus acrobat known as 'the human tornado' who was transformed into a cyborg by Skeletor's mechano-ray.
In the 1980s UK London Editions comic series and UK MOTU Magazine issue #71, his origin was expanded under the name Dash-Shel (or Dash-El). Originally a star athlete from the alien world of Snave who rebelled against the Evil Horde, he was mortally wounded during a Horde attack.
His father, a scientist, saved his life by rebuilding him with cybernetics, turning him into Sy-Klone before he traveled to Eternia to assist the Masters. In the 2002 animated series, his origin was rewritten as a mystical samurai warrior who guarded the island of Anwat Gar for thousands of years. The 2023 Dark Horse comic series 'Masters of the Universe: Forge of Destiny' further bridged his origins, showing how Dash-Shel of Anwat Gar was corrupted by Evil-Lyn's magic before transforming into Sy-Klone and discovering Prince Adam's secret identity as He-Man.

Evoluzione
Sy-Klone's character design and backstory have undergone significant evolution since his creation by Roger Sweet under the initial prototype name 'Tornado.' Introduced into Mattel's toyline in 1985, his initial 1980s iterations alternated between an alien cybernetic athlete from Snave and an acrobat transformed by Skeletor's ray.
The 2002 reboot by Mattel and Four Horsemen overhauled Sy-Klone with a distinct samurai warrior aesthetic, complete with ringed armbands and shin guards. His backstory shifted from pure technology to ancient mysticism, portraying him as a sombre, centuries-old guardian of Anwat Gar. Modern comic expansions, such as 2023's 'Masters of the Universe: Forge of Destiny,' integrated elements of his 1980s identity (Dash-Shel) with the 2002 island of Anwat Gar, deepening his role within the franchise's main narrative.
