Cronologia
Biografia
Jiren is a humanoid alien mortal from Universe 11 and the primary fighter representing Team Universe 11 in the Tournament of Power. As a prominent member of the Pride Troopers—a hero squad dedicated to maintaining cosmic peace—Jiren spends his life protecting citizens from villainy.
However, unlike his outgoing teammate Toppo, Jiren maintains a quiet, stoic demeanor. He strictly adheres to an absolute code of justice and never kills his opponents, choosing instead to capture defeated villains alive.
During the Tournament of Power, Jiren emerges as the single greatest barrier facing Universe 7. His unbelievable combat capabilities force Son Goku to break his mortal limits to unlock Ultra Instinct. Living under the conviction that personal power alone guarantees survival, Jiren initially fights as a solitary force, disdaining teamwork and emotional reliance on his comrades.
Storia
As a child, Jiren suffered a tragic loss when an evil villain attacked his village and murdered his parents. He was rescued by a martial artist named Gicchin, who took Jiren in as his apprentice to teach him martial arts and discipline. Years later, the same villain returned with followers and attacked Gicchin's dojo.
Despite Jiren and his fellow disciples fighting alongside their master, Gicchin and many of the students were killed in the battle. Following Gicchin's death, the surviving students refused to help Jiren seek vengeance, abandoning him entirely.
Traumatized by this double betrayal, Jiren lost all faith in trust and companionship, concluding that 'Strength is Absolute' and that power alone guarantees justice. Although Master Gicchin had urged Jiren to join the Pride Troopers to learn the value of unity, Jiren maintained his distant, solitary mindset while training relentlessly until his power surpassed Universe 11's God of Destruction, Belmod.

Evoluzione
Jiren's evolutionary arc centers on a fundamental transformation from rigid, solitary cynicism to an acceptance of trust and unity. Driven by the tragic murder of his master Gicchin and the abandonment by his fellow students, Jiren formed an unyielding belief that 'Strength is Absolute.' For most of his life, he operated in emotional isolation, maintaining distance from his fellow Pride Troopers even as his battle strength surpassed that of Universe 11's God of Destruction.
During the climax of the Tournament of Power, Jiren's rigid mindset is completely broken down by Team Universe 7. Observing Goku, Vegeta, Android 17, and Frieza draw strength from their mutual trust forces Jiren to confront the flaw in his belief system. After being eliminated by Goku and Frieza's joint assault and later restored by Android 17's wish, Jiren discards his toxic isolation. He returns to Universe 11 embracing genuine friendship with Toppo and his teammates, standing as a true hero united with his comrades.
Da Collezione
Jiren is a favorite subject among Dragon Ball collectors, owing to his massive physical silhouette and imposing presence. Bandai's **S.H. Figuarts** line has released key articulated figures for the character, including standard Pride Trooper Jiren and the bulked-up **S.H. Figuarts Final Battle / Full Power Jiren**, which features swap-out facial expressions and energy effect parts to recreate his red aura state.
In the static statue category, Bandai's **Ichiban Kuji** (Masterlise) line offers highly sought-after sculpted figures capturing Jiren's muscular build from the Tournament of Power. High-end scale statue manufacturers and lines like X-Plus (Gigantic Series) have also produced large-format sculpts of Jiren. Due to his status as the primary antagonist of Dragon Ball Super, pristine Jiren figures—especially Full Power and Masterlise variants—remain high-value staples in modern anime toy collections.

In Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Vegeta notes that Jiren's combat power relied on staying completely relaxed until the instant of impact.
