HEARTLESS SOLDIER
The Soldier is a iconic, recurring Emblem Heartless in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, first introduced in the original 2002 game. Artificially created during Apprentice Xehanort's dark experiments, it serves as primary ground infantry alongside the Pureblood Shadow. Resembling a dark knight clad in metallic armor with clawed gauntlets and a curled helmet plume, it fights using rapid claw strikes and somersault lunges.
Cronologia
Biografia
The Soldier (Japanese: ソルジャー, Sorujā) is one of the most ubiquitous and recognizable lower-tier Emblem Heartless in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Serving as basic infantry alongside the Pureblood Shadow, Soldiers appear in vast numbers across almost every major Disney and original world.
Their name directly references military soldiers, emphasizing their battle-focused capabilities and their tendency to fight in large, organized swarms. In combat, Soldiers are brisk, impulsive, and energetic.
They rely on aggressive physical routines such as rapid claw swipes, somersault lunges, and spinning kicks. First encountered in Traverse Town when an innocent citizen loses his heart to darkness, Soldiers act as dark grunts deployed by various antagonists throughout the series. Despite their low individual HP and vulnerability to Keyblade combos or Reaction Commands like Cyclone, their primary strength lies in swarming numbers.
Storia
Unlike Pureblood Heartless that generate naturally from the inherent darkness within human hearts, Soldiers are artificial Emblem Heartless.
They were produced through dark experiments at the Heartless Manufactory in Radiant Garden (Hollow Bastion) under Apprentice Xehanort.
Marked prominently with the manufactured Emblem Heartless insignia on their body and belt armor, Soldiers were created to form a scalable army for darkness across the worlds.

Evoluzione
The Soldier has evolved from a basic early-game enemy into an extensive taxonomy of Emblem Heartless variants throughout the franchise. Beginning with a single knightly model in 2002, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix introduced palette swaps and the invisible Stealth Soldier variant.
Kingdom Hearts II greatly expanded the Soldier lineage by introducing field commanders (Sergeant and Commander), rapid swarming sub-types (Deserter), and world-specific thematic variations such as Halloween Town's Pumpkin Soldier. By Kingdom Hearts III, the design reached current-generation graphical fidelity alongside the heavily armored High Soldier, demonstrating how a simple grunt enemy grew into a multifaceted unit class.
Da Collezione
While dedicated standalone physical action figures strictly focused on the basic Soldier Heartless are rare in primary merchandise line-ups, the Soldier remains an enduring digital collectible across Kingdom Hearts titles.
Players collect Soldiers as Enemy Cards in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories and as combat Medals in Kingdom Hearts Union χ. Its distinctive helmet design with the coiled plume and yellow eyes remains one of the most recognized Emblem Heartless concepts produced by Square Enix and Disney.

The name 'Soldier' highlights the Heartless's swarming army nature and military battle capabilities.
