Biography
Harry James Potter is the titular wizard born on July 31, 1980, to James and Lily Potter. Known throughout the Wizarding World as 'The Boy Who Lived,' Harry gained legendary status after surviving the Killing Curse (Avada Kedavra) cast by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort when Harry was just 15 months old.
The attack left Harry with his signature lightning-bolt scar, while destroying Voldemort's physical form and ending his first reign of terror. Unaware of his magical identity, Harry spent his childhood raised by his Muggle aunt Petunia and uncle Vernon Dursley (along with cousin Dudley) under harsh conditions, living in a small cupboard under the stairs.
On his eleventh birthday, he received his acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, delivered in person by Rubeus Hagrid. Sorted into Gryffindor House, Harry quickly befriended Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, forming the central trio that would navigate seven years of magical education and perilous trials. Throughout his time at Hogwarts, Harry plays a vital role in thwarting Voldemort's return and fighting Death Eaters. As an adult nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry serves as the Head of Magical Law Enforcement and is married to Ginny Weasley, with whom he has children, including his son Albus Severus Potter.
Backstory
Born in July 1980 to Order of the Phoenix members James and Lily Potter, Harry's early infancy was tragically cut short by dark forces. When he was 15 months old, Lord Voldemort targeted the Potter home.
Although both of his parents were killed, Lily's sacrificial protection shielded baby Harry, causing Voldemort's Killing Curse to rebound onto the Dark Lord.
Following the attack, Harry was left in the care of his Muggle aunt Petunia and uncle Vernon Dursley. For ten years, the Dursleys kept Harry's magical heritage secret, mistreating him and forcing him to sleep in a cupboard under the stairs until Rubeus Hagrid tracked him down on his eleventh birthday to reveal his true identity.
