Biography

Ghost Panther refers to two distinct Marvel Universe incarnations: most prominently, the Warp World fusion of Prince T'Challa (Black Panther) and Johnny Blaze (Ghost Rider), and an alternate-reality energy manifestation of Ororo Munroe on Earth-161.
In the Warp World reality created within the Soul Gem, T'Challa takes on the pseudonym Johnny Blaze after being exiled from Wakanda, working as a stunt rider in the United States.
Following a fatal motorcycle crash, T'Challa bargains with Zarathos, the Spirit of Vengeance, returning to life as Ghost Panther to defend Wakanda against alien corporate invaders known as the Alchemars and avenge his slain father, King T'Chaka. On Earth-161, Ghost Panther represents the energy and memory form of Ororo Munroe (Storm). Following an attempt by Tony Stark and the Consortium to release her stored memories back into physical form, her energy state separates from her physical body ('Ro). Outfitted with specialized Black Panther armor by Stark, this Ghost Panther leads a resistance movement alongside Archangel, the Morlocks, and the X-Men against an evil clone, eventually merging back into her physical body with the assistance of Doctor Strange.
Origins

The origin of the Warp World Ghost Panther stems from the cosmic events of Infinity Wars, where Gamora fused universe souls together inside the Soul Gem. Fleeing Wakanda after his banishment, Prince T'Challa relocated to North America and disguised his royal identity under the stunt performer alias Johnny Blaze.
When a daredevil stunt resulted in his death, T'Challa entered into a demonic contract with Zarathos. Reborn with supernatural hellfire powers while retaining his Wakandan martial heritage, he set out to free his homeland from Erik Killraven and alien corporate invaders.
In the Earth-161 reality, the character's backstory began when Storm's adult memories were extracted and stored by the mutant Pipeline during transmodification. When Tony Stark attempted to restore her, the process fragmented, isolating her pure energy state. Stark constructed a Black Panther-themed suit of armor to contain and empower her memory form, allowing her to operate independently as Ghost Panther until she could reunite with her physical self, 'Ro.

Evolution
Ghost Panther originally appeared as an alternate energy manifestation of Storm on Earth-161 who piloted Black Panther armor to defeat an evil clone. In 2018, the character was completely reimagined by Gerry Duggan, Jed MacKay, and Humberto Ramos during Marvel's Infinity Wars crossover. This new iteration established Ghost Panther as a permanent Warp World amalgam combining Black Panther and Ghost Rider.
As Warp World stories developed through 2019's Secret Warps, Ghost Panther's universe expanded into future eras and secondary fusions. In Days of Future Mars, he projected Zarathos's power into space to fight 2099 Martian fleets, and later merged with Iron Hammer to temporarily become Ghost Hammer (T'Challa Odinson). Beyond comic books, the character crossed over into digital media as a playable hero in Netmarble's mobile title Marvel Future Fight.

In the Secret Warps storyline, Ghost Panther projected Zarathos's spirit onto Mars to defeat an alien invasion fleet in the year 2099.
