Clone Commander Cody (designation CC-2224) is a veteran clone officer in the Grand Army of the Republic, best known for leading the 212th Attack Battalion and 7th Sky Corps alongside High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi. After executing Order 66 on Utapau due to his inhibitor chip, Cody briefly served the Galactic Empire before recognizing its tyranny and going AWOL.

Clone Commander Cody, designation CC-2224, served as a Clone Marshal Commander in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Leading both the 7th Sky Corps and the 212th Attack Battalion, Cody earned a reputation as a disciplined and brilliant military tactician.
Working closely with High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Captain Rex (CT-7567), he orchestrated key Republic military operations across galactic battlefields, including engagements on Christophsis, Teth, Rishi Moon, Kamino, Ryloth, and Geonosis. Cody's career took a dramatic turn during the Battle of Utapau. Immediately after returning Obi-Wan Kenobi's dropped lightsaber to him, Cody received Order 66 directly from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.
Controlled by his implanted inhibitor chip, Cody mechanically complied with the directive and ordered an AT-TE walker to open fire on Kenobi, initiating the Jedi Purge on the planet. Following the rise of the Galactic Empire, Cody initially remained in imperial military service. However, while leading an Imperial squad alongside Crosshair on the former Separatist world of Desix, Cody grew disillusioned by Imperial tyranny—specifically Governor Grotten's execution of Separatist leader Tawni Ames. Recognizing the Empire's lack of honor, Cody deserted his post, with his subsequent whereabouts remaining unknown in galactic history.

Created on Kamino as one of countless clones destined for leadership in the Grand Army, CC-2224 early on displayed an aptitude for independent thought that drew the attention of the Kaminoans.
Selected for specialized officer training, he forged a close bond with fellow cadet CT-7567 (Rex).
During the Clone Wars, Cody was enrolled in an experimental training regiment led by ARC trooper Alpha-17 designed to provoke independent thought among commanders. Embracing his autonomy, CC-2224 adopted the name 'Cody' and customized his armor with ARC-inspired equipment. Following his stellar performance in the program, Cody was given co-command of the elite Squad Seven alongside Commander Odd Ball.
