Cronologia
Biografia

Piotr 'Peter' Nikolaievitch Rasputin, known by the codename Colossus, is a mutant superhero appearing in Marvel Comics. Created by writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum, Colossus made his debut in Giant-Size X-Men #1 in May 1975.
Possessing the mutant power to transform his entire physical body into an organic steel substance called Osmium, Piotr gains massive strength, enhanced stamina, and near total invulnerability in his armored state, making him the primary physical muscle of the X-Men team.
Despite his overwhelming physical stature and power, Piotr is renowned for his gentle temperament, artist's soul, and unwavering loyalty to his friends and family. Raised on a collective farm in Siberia, he often acts as a moral compass for his teammates, preferring peace and creation over conflict, yet fighting courageously whenever innocent lives or fellow mutants are threatened. Across various comic eras, television series, video games, and feature films—including Deadpool and Deadpool & Wolverine—he stands as an enduring symbol of strength and heart.
Storia

Piotr Rasputin was born and raised on the Ust-Ordynski collective farm near Lake Baikal in Siberia, USSR. He grew up alongside his parents, Nikolai and Alexandra Rasputin, his older brother Mikhail, and his younger sister Illyana. Piotr led a quiet, rural life until his mutant abilities manifested.
His life changed forever when Professor Charles Xavier travelled to Russia to recruit him into his 'Second Genesis' X-Men team to rescue the original X-Men trapped on the living island Krakoa. Leaving his family behind to join the X-Men in the United States, Piotr adopted the hero name Colossus.
His history is marked by deep personal tragedy, including the tragic loss of his sister Illyana to the Legacy Virus, which devastated him emotionally and briefly led him to defect to Magneto's Acolytes. In 2001 (Uncanny X-Men #390), Piotr selflessly sacrificed his life by injecting himself with the airborne cure for the Legacy Virus to release it globally. He was later discovered alive in Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men (2004), having been secretly held captive and experimented upon by Ord of the Breakworld before returning to the X-Men.

Evoluzione
From his debut in 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1, Colossus has transformed from a gentle Soviet farm boy into one of the X-Men's most enduring and tragic stalwarts. Initially characterized by his artistic nature and physical power, his character underwent deep emotional suffering during storylines like Mutant Massacre and the death of his sister Illyana from the Legacy Virus. His grief drove him to briefly defect to Magneto's Acolytes before making the ultimate sacrifice in 2001 to release the Legacy Virus cure globally.
Following his return in 2004's Astonishing X-Men, Colossus evolved into a major force of power and internal conflict. He assumed monstrous dark powers as the Avatar of Cyttorak in Fear Itself (2011) and gained cosmic power as part of the Phoenix Five in Avengers vs. X-Men (2012). In the Krakoan era (2019–2024), he served on the Quiet Council while covertly puppet-controlled by his brother Mikhail Rasputin. Freed from telepathic manipulation, he transitioned into the From the Ashes era, tackling his trauma in X-Force (2025) and co-starring alongside his sister in Magik & Colossus (2026).
