Cronologia
Biografia
Captain Margaret 'Peggy' Carter is a super-soldier heroine born from alternate timelines where she, rather than Steve Rogers, received Dr. Abraham Erskine's Super-Soldier Serum.
Infused with enhanced strength, agility, and tactical expertise, she steps up as World War II's premier champion, brandishing a custom Union Jack Vibranium shield and leading the Howling Commandos against Hydra.
Throughout her multiversal operational history, Captain Carter evolves from a wartime icon into a modern-day leader. She heads S.H.I.E.L.D.'s S.T.R.I.K.E. team, leads the Avengers against the Chitauri, and acts as a focal figure for multiversal factions—including the Guardians of the Multiverse and The Exiles—standing against cosmic-level threats across dimensions.
Storia
During the launch of Project Rebirth, Agent Peggy Carter elected to stay on the floor for the procedure rather than sitting in the viewing booth. This decision prompted Nazi spy Heinz Kruger to detonate his explosive device early, killing Dr.
Abraham Erskine and Colonel Phillips while injuring Steve Rogers. After killing Kruger, Peggy stepped into the Vita-Ray Chamber herself when Howard Stark refused to enter, emerging as the world's first Super Soldier.
Despite initial resistance from SSR head Colonel Flynn due to her gender, Peggy went behind his back with Stark. Armed with a custom uniform and Vibranium shield, she launched a solo mission in Berlin, captured Hydra scientist Arnim Zola, and retrieved the Tesseract. This feat earned her the official field mantle of Captain Carter and established her partnership with Steve Rogers, who piloted Stark's Tesseract-powered Hydra Stomper armor.

Evoluzione
Captain Carter's origin is unique: she was originally created in July 2016 for the mobile video game *Marvel Puzzle Quest* by Demiurge Studios and D3 Go! to celebrate Captain America's 75th anniversary. Her mainstream rise occurred in 2021 when Marvel Studios featured her in the animated Disney+ series *What If...?*, voiced by Hayley Atwell. Positioned as the narrative anchor of the MCU animated multiverse, Captain Carter transitioned from an animated fan-favorite to a live-action blockbuster presence in 2022's *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness*, solidifying her evolution from a mobile game concept to a premier Marvel superhero.
