Biografia
Ban is the Fox's Sin of Greed and a prominent member of the Seven Deadly Sins. First introduced while imprisoned in Baste Dungeon, he quickly escapes to reunite with his captain, Meliodas, and Elizabeth.
Throughout the Holy War and the battles against the demonic Ten Commandments, Ban serves as one of Britannia's most powerful defenders and loyal allies. His primary goal throughout much of the story is to find a way to resurrect Elaine, the Holy Maiden of the Fountain of Youth who died protecting him.
Driven by deep love and grief, Ban travels across Britannia, ventures into the Fairy King's Forest, and braves extreme hardship to achieve her revival. Following the defeat of the Demon King, Ban settles down with Elaine as ruler of the newly established realm of Benwick. In the sequel series Four Knights of the Apocalypse, set 16 years later, King Ban acts as a supporting legendary hero and mentor figure to his son, Lancelot.
Storia
Ban grew up as an impoverished child thief who was taken in by Zhivago, a beastman who became his foster father and taught him how to steal.
Seeking immortality, Ban traveled to the Fairy King's Forest to drink from the Fountain of Youth. There, he met Elaine, the Holy Maiden guarding the fountain.
Over seven days, Ban and Elaine fell deeply in love. Their peace ended when a demon attacked the forest, mortally wounding both of them. To save Ban, Elaine drank from the Fountain of Youth and transferred its water to him via a kiss, granting him immortality while she tragically lost her life.

Evoluzione
Ban's character undergoes significant physical and emotional evolution throughout the series. Initially, he relies heavily on his immortality to tank fatal damage without concern for his body, acting recklessly due to guilt over Elaine's death. His ultimate turning point occurs in Purgatory, where he voluntarily enters its harsh, toxic environment for hundreds of subjective years to retrieve Meliodas' soul.
This grueling experience drastically increases his physical durability and strength. Upon returning, Ban voluntarily sacrifices his immortality to permanently revive Elaine. Though mortal once more, his post-Purgatory physical power and retrieval of his Sacred Treasure Courechouse make him stronger than ever. In the sequel era, Ban evolves from a lawless bandit into King Ban of Benwick, serving as a ruler, husband, and father.

In his youth, Ban was taught how to steal by a beastman named Zhivago, who served as his foster father.
